You made, quite possibly, the most useless dps class in the entire game and you are complaining because groups don't want more than one of you.
While melee does plenty of dps they are also on the front lines and just as likely to get damage as the main tank, even more likely if the tank sucks.

the main reason that anyone would want a rogue in the first place is for stun-lock which is acceptable and i welcome it any chance i get in smaller heroic raids to take some pressure off the healers. in larger raids that actually drop anything good, however, almost all bosses are immune to stun and the rogues are just S.O.L. because they're sittin there assassination spec lk dumbasses cuz their actual dps sucks compared to other classes

Rogues really needs something to bring to a group/raid other than average dps.
Some kind of dps/dodge-buff would be neat.

High, sustained, low threat DPS.
Multiple ways to shuck aggro.
CC that doesn't start the fight by pulling all the mobs at me.
We actually benefit from sunder armor and mangle, and hemo rogues actually help the tank keep aggro by pumping up their melee damage.
Lots of ways to shut down casters, preventing loads of damage to a tank, even as a combat spec. This doesn't mean i have to run out and solo the thing... a simple kick and, if needed, a feint, and they're running right into the tank's melee range.
DPS on multiple targets almost every intance pull. Amazing for taking down the non elites, but great for pulling aggro from the X target if your tank is a single target kinda guy.
I think rogues bring alot to an instance group. Granted, our CC isn't renewable. There's a high margin for error as a rogue because you've got to know about the AOE, and you are definitely going to be taking damage.
If you really feel like a rogue can't bring a single thing to your group, I wouldn't trouble you for the time of day, and I'd go out and get a different group together.
But honestly. @OP: There's no reason to get worked up because your group already had a rogue. Hell, I'd rather see my sap turn into a sheep right before the timer was up then have it run headfirst into the fray any day of the week. The best groups i've been in have been versatile, with people who know what they're doing. Pretty much every class has something to bring to the table, and if you play a particular class and aren't holding up your end, it's most likely due to a lack of skill, bad gear, or the wrong talent spec. Figure out which it is and get to work.

im a rogue 2 and i totally agree with u.
but if u think about it its good for the group to have many DPS but on the other side id u think about yourself its better for u to be the only rogue so u get higher chances to win all the items u need
