Ryosh, glad to see it was good enough to convince you to create a Wowhead account! Thanks for the props =)
TxPali - thanks to you too! Only thing is though, you might be a little disappointed, because you do still need to 'drag along all that extra gear'. It's not going to work in tanking gear very well, unfortunately, unless you've got a trash set with high strength/BV, and even then, it'll probably be subpar to a high-strength Ret set.

You're not going to have mana issues in a raid environment.
If you respec appropriately and use Seal of Blood/Martyr instead of Seal of Vengeance, I don't think you're going to get more than 20-30% up, with tanking gear, since you're going to be wasting so many item points on avoidance, defence and stamina, instead of Strength, Hit and Crit.
Still though, give it a shot and see if it works. My gut feel is that you won't see a significant improvement (what changes? rotation and some talents) unless you change your gear too.

Nice to hear from you =)
What spec are you normally, Prot or Ret? I'd just pick up Ret gear from PvE so you don't waste item points on things like Resilience that you won't need. Even if you need to tank instances and roll on off-spec.
In terms of getting into raids - just give them the numbers from a heroic or grandmaster's dummy and let them do the math themselves.

I was kicked out of a VoA-25 because:
"Hey, you have a shield. That means your a tank. We have 2, thats enough".
"I have dps-gear on, i will pull as much dps as a ret."
"Prot=tank, please leave"
*sigh* But i guess the will be chewing on their foot when protribution becomes a more known way of dealing damage.

Should've fed them dps numbers....
We're actually going to be hurt, if anything, by the number of tanks who think that they can DPS in tanking gear. Protardin never made it into the lingo, did it?
But yeah, you're always going to get people like that...

Everborne - are you having threat issues as well? You can use Divine Shield/Divine Sacrifice to help stop threat buildup (at the expense of your damage) temporarily, as well as helping the raid. Otherwise.... ask the other pallies in the raid for an occasional Hand of Salvation nicely? :)
Well, I haven't had any threat issues yet, but I was just curious. Thanks for the answer!

For an "enchant", I'm guessing
Titanium Plating
for both PvP and PvE would be best (more block value for SotR) - with the disarm reduction nice for PvP. There's also
Titanium Shield Spike
for PvP I guess, though I couldn't say how one would compare to the other.
With the other block value changes, this is going up to 81 block value from 40 in 3.2!

I reckon Titanium Plating, probably. Titanium Shield Spike probably isn't worth it, since you'll do an extra 55 odd damage when you block, which will be practically never (1/3 of attacks coming from front), compared to an extra 52-64 damage every 6 seconds when you use Shield of Righteousness.

I know that feel $%^& off but try tell them what ur spec is like "im use Protribution spec and not tankadin" and i hope they understand.
If u about to pass threat then stop gaining threat and let it go down.

it really tempt me in my mind ...do it work for ret pvp resilence gear along with Protribution spec?
But i see the problem about chose which pvp glove that have bonus FoL and CS then i guess i pick FoL because protribution couldn't reach CS in ret tree. i figure use stam socket, add str socket (BS socket) and enchant major str or other.
i know ret glove give str but CS ...

so , i have read forums about this spec from lots of websites. and from what i understood from those posts, i was to wear tank gear if it had BV on then ret gear if it didnt ..... gem all str, and make sure i was hit capped. does that sound about right ? i saw here in wowhead that ppl are saying to wear all ret gear? why?
this is spec is super fun in pvp, i havent tried it out yet in pve, but i have a spot later this week to try it. i cant wait. here is my link, although it isnt spec'd right at the moment, you can look at my gear and maybe throw me some clues to what to change.

Yeah, just saw the Maintankadin thread on Prot DPS. I'll plug some numbers together and teach those guys that they should stick to tanking ;)
