Still wondering why people hate atheist?
usually people without faith dont have a strong soul
Atheists don't believe in souls.
So? It is not atheism vs christianity here, i think that if we just "morph" religions into ways of life without the damnation and you gotta follow this stuff it would be awesome,
Sorry, it just sounded that way to me, that you were going atheism versus Christianity.
Either way, if you "morph" religions without the "supernatural"... that's basically atheism and atheists using religious text as stories with morals.
It's like taking the chocolate out of a chocolate cake and calling it a morphed chocolate cake.

That's a horrible argument.

Exactly, it's like something like this:
Person A: if you leave chocolate around in the house your cat will die.
Person B: I don't even have a cat.
Person A: then think of the cat as a dog.
Person B: ...

What gives you the right to deny something proven by many priests?
It's a matter of what you consider proof.
They proved
nothing
. The concept of religion is sound, and does not need proof, what annoys me is when priests think that they are scientist and try to come up with unnecessary "theories" or misinterpretations, like creationism, which is a myth. Scientists painstakingly come up with theories, priests just misinterpret. You can still choose to live in fairy world (sorry for the harsh term, but still) and believe in creationism, but it doesn't change the fact that evolution is fact.

Religious text can be considered proof in this argument, so can visions and acts.

You can choose to believe that the scientists are misinterpreting the evidence.
Perspective.
You can still choose to live in fairy world (sorry for the harsh term, but still) and believe in creationism, but it doesn't change the fact that evolution is fact.
You're basically saying that your credibility is superior to my credibility.
On the internet, that doesn't mean anything.

I don't think whether a person chooses to believe in a thousand year old paper versus a 2 day old paper is going to effect you directly.
Why do the atheists on this thread keep going back to "you must be wrong" argument?
Also, your big bang theory doesn't explain where the mass came from in the first place.
Maybe a non-caring God placed a mass just to see what happens.

and yet, people INSIST on killing, destroying, wasting money on things that SHOULD be spent on health care, public funds and other useful things rather then just building altars to their own selfish beliefs. who cares who or what created the universe, lets just think about the now and what we do know.
I have the same stance against PETA.
(my math, science and religion teachers in school hated me for questioning everything)
I was limited to 3 questions a day in middle and high school.
Setting aside religion, it may seem that we could have a lot in common.
So with all of these diverse religions saying different things and all claiming to be right, how do you know which one actually is?
You decide that on your own, kind of like a scientific deduction, where you weed out completely impossibilities with your persona.
This is why I say religion teaches us to accept their way because is the only way, it tells you how you should think. Science teaches us to prove that their way is the only way.
That's fine and dandy, and I have nothing against that, but when you start screaming that religion must be wrong is when it irks me.

thats like saying im right just because i am. sorry, but your going to need more than just thousand year old papers which people wrote about gods who did everything they couldnt explain.
That was aimed at blademeld, and there you go taking the extremists as a the rule.
@blademeld: Scientist preceive the evidence logically, religious people just cling to their parent's beliefs, I find it stupid that I have to try and convince my teachers of evolution, just because they cling to myths.

im sorry, but considering religion has id say.. well over billions dead, countless civilizations destruction and hundreds if not thousands of years of oppression id say religion is a bigger problem then peta. now idc about religion but when its used to oppress, kill, destroy, hinder, or disrupt things then its a problem. and as always it is.
Only because religion is of majority, I should think.
There are horrible acts done in the name of science, the biggest examples being in WWII when the axis powers used live people for experiments.

Your logic is your own, you can't force your logic on others, especially when it doesn't make sense to them.
Your perception that evolution is a fact is your perspective, you claiming that it's a myth is also your perspective.
It doesn't have to be the absolute truth, which is what you're implying by stating that it's a fact.
