Mesopotamia was nothing, I suppose?

An endless supply of slave labor.

Laihendi would like to mention that humans have caused far more environmental damage than any other animals. What other creatures on this planet are responsible for putting a hole in the ozone layer?

Now combine all the byproducts of humans together.

Considering how stubborn you are, you probably will deny it, but Laihendi will post it anyways (even though it's been common knowledge for years now).
The Antarctic ozone hole is an area of the Antarctic stratosphere in which the recent ozone levels have dropped to as low as 33% of their pre-1975 values. The ozone hole occurs during the Antarctic spring, from September to early December, as strong westerly winds start to circulate around the continent and create an atmospheric container. Within this polar vortex, over 50% of the lower stratospheric ozone is destroyed during the Antarctic spring.
As explained above, the overall cause of ozone depletion is the presence of chlorine-containing source gases (primarily CFCs and related halocarbons). In the presence of UV light, these gases dissociate, releasing chlorine atoms, which then go on to catalyze ozone destruction. The Cl-catalyzed ozone depletion can take place in the gas phase, but it is dramatically enhanced in the presence of polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs).

To fully understand that you need to know the following
Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), along with other chlorine- and bromine-containing compounds, have been implicated in the accelerated depletion of ozone in the Earth's stratosphere. CFCs were developed in the early 1930s and are used in a variety of industrial, commercial, and household applications. These substances are non-toxic, non-flammable, and non-reactive with other chemical compounds. These desirable safety characteristics, along with their stable thermodynamic properties, make them ideal for many applications--as coolants for commercial and home refrigeration units, aerosol propellants, electronic cleaning solvents, and blowing agents. Production and Use of Chlorofluorocarbons experienced nearly uninterrupted growth as demand for products requiring their use continued to rise.

So you can go on denying that humans are responsible for massive amounts of damage to the earth, but maybe it'll sink in eventually.

I give you gold, Laihendo, and this is how you repay me?

Maybe Laihendi just has such a witty sense of humor that he shows it off without even realizing it.
The ego meter is nearly full.

Actually, some studies have shown that they might in fact not have been slaves, and even if they were, they most certainly was not treated as such, as they were overwhelmingly well fed with luxurious foods.

I read somewhere that death by to much methane could also be a possibility on how they all died. The giant meteor theory was a bit too clean I guess.
Last I read the impact didn't kill them, the after effect did. Not to say that a giant meteor impact didn't kill a lot off, but not all.
