I have given lots of based arguments, did you not see the videos, the articles, what I typed?
and yes we have.
This is a flame war.
You used "morals" in your arguments.
I've read the arguments in the articles in your links and I can say that I'm not impressed in the least in their reasoning.
"Forcing xxx is okay since it's not a personal choice" doesn't even remotely make any sense.
And no, it's not a flame war from what I can see, you're being overzealous.
But not as delectable.
But crunchier.

So something should go through extreme torture because its your opinion it tastes better than the still tasty alternatives?
PETA is hated on the basis that it uses a small extreme examples to offset the majority.
As far as I'm aware the Canadian Government has extremely tough laws regarding slaughter. Torture is a big no-no.
PETA could be better off spending the money and effort on helping the third world nations.
and I'm not being overzealous, the abuse of animals is not okay, and I'm not taking it lightly.
What makes you overzealous is not regarding if it's okay or not, but the way you attempt to push your views on other people.

If peta can turn a good bit of people in to vegetarians and stop animals from being killed, I don't care if people dislike them.
How about the fact that PEtA is unofficially associated with criminal organisations and causes the most property damage and harm to humans of the charity organisations?
Also, I'm not pushing my views onto people.
Those articles gave facts and morals.
Anyone who read them and says otherwise just doesn't want to admit they're wrong.
I'll admit that your arguments are usually backed up, but you contradict yourself here and ther.
Most farmhands beat their cattle, or their poultry, etc. for no specific reason.
That is torture.
Then they're ruthlessly slaughtered, which isn't done with a quick swipe of a blade.
"Most" I think you mean "most recorded by PETA"
And it's usually done with a projectile or electricity these days.

torture is "
any act by which severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, is intentionally inflicted
on a person for such purposes as obtaining from him, or a third person, information or a confession, punishing him for an act he or a third person has committed or is suspected of having committed, or intimidating or coercing him or a third person,
or for any reason based on discrimination of any kind
, when such pain or suffering is inflicted by or at the instigation of or with the consent or acquiescence of a public official or other person acting in an official capacity. It does not include pain or suffering arising only from, inherent in, or incidental to, lawful sanctions."
i.e. not what happens to animals
While this is true in technical terms, as person is specified, the actual term can be associated with the general infliction of pain.
But yes, the correct term would be mistreatment.

I don't get all my facts from peta, I just used those as those videos do so what goes on regularly in farms every day, and some of the info on the articles were factual, so I don't see a reason not to use them.
I never said you shouldn't use them, I said they were a minority extreme examples.
There are minority extremists in everything.
Also, you've based your arguments from there from what I can see.

Also, I did base most of my arguments using examples from peta, but thats because they're factual.
Fact: there are some vegetarians who murdered people for eating meat.
ZOMG.
Let's not go there.

I assumed you implied I shouldn't use them, since you were telling me that peta is bad.
Also, yes, those examples are extreme. But that extremity does happen in farms/slaughterhouses every day. Some are less extreme, but still abuse and neglect.
Also, I did base most of my arguments using examples from peta, but thats because they're factual.
The exetreme happens everyday? Maybe, but not everywhere? most probably, or it wouldn't be extreme. My point is, saying it happens "everyday" is not really a good argument.
