If you have to use the kryptonite stance, why hasn't he been defeated by Lex Luthor the 100,000 times he tried to use it?
Is Lex Luthor dead, or even hurt?
Exactly.
Superman defeats Luthor's plan to conquer the world, then steps back.
So what suggests superman wont stop Tony Stark (destroy his suit) then step back.
he rebuilds one, and superman breaks that one. An endlessly losing cycle suggests to me, superman is winning.

Fine, let's assume Marvel's Thor does not fall into the definition of a God. He could still beat Superman. Kryptonite.
Hmm yes, a being from a universe with no Kryptonite is sure to have an abundant supply of it!
I should've guessed!

Superman won't be able to break Kryptonite. And Stark will then beat the holy crap out of weak Superman.

That is a retarded argument. By your logic the fight would never even happen.

again, superman overcomes attacks involving kryptonite constantly, what makes this fight any different. (as mentioned in an earlier statement by myself)
edit: its a weakness, but its not the end-all-be-all superman killer. there's like 2-3 ways to kill superman, maybe. there hundreds of ways to kill iron man.

What makes it different is that Superman only overcomes Kryptonite because the writer gives him the opportunity to, you think Stark would be that merciful?

would superman be that dumb to get in that close to ironman? not unless ironman takes a hostage, which he will not do based on his principle as a superhero.

Than the fight would never happen.

Uh ok, in that case Supes destroys the source of Thor's powers and waits it out till he's forced to swap his persona back to Blake. Supes lightly taps Blake on the forehead and Blake falls down, knocked out.
PLOTALITY

Thor wouldn't let that happen.

care to explain?
if its because they wouldn't fight based on principle, your stretching the context too far. its '2 heroes are fighting' and the argument that they wouldnt fight cant be relevant. they are fighting, but will either of them take hostages, no. are either likely to kill each other, not really if their morals are involved. so because superman never killed lex luthar is also irrelevant.
So what would constitute, DEFEAT? death, or a bad enough beat down to render the other unconscious, or what.
actual question, I need insight.

You said that Superman wouldn't get near Iron Man. If he does so, the fight won't happen.

Thor wouldn't let that happen.
So Superman just let's Thor get
THE ONE THING THAT CAN HURT HIM
, but according to you, Thor doesn't let Superman do the same to him?
You just don't like Superman, do you?
And furthermore, what can Thor do to stop him? Superman can get there in less than a second, destroy the tree faster than basically anything (Superman can match The Flash.
THE FLASH WHO MOVED FASTER THAN A VILLAIN WITH INSTANT TELEPORT POWERS
). How, how, does Thor stop him?

laser eyes, throwing things, and lead suits.
thats the other things, superman has suits as well that repel kryptonite.
edit: i still want a solid condition for being defeated.

They both lose to the random Mary Sue walking by.
fixt.
You fail to undestand Superpowergirl.
That is the alter super ego I gave my wife. She gave me 'Destructoman'. It's kinda funny. The other day she made a great breakfast, and came to get me outa bed. I told her that "Your cooking has foiled my plans to sleep in, Superpowergirl", and then she said something like "I know your weaknesses, Destructoman"... It's kinda a joke

Thor is a God, even by Marvel standards, that would let him protect his source. And yes, I do not like Superman, he is a ridiculous character.
Ghoso: Iron man can shield himself from laser and rocks.

You cant deny the facts, Iron man wins.
it doesnt work too well if the
results are case sensitive
. edit: or possibly random.

Ever read Thor?
No?
'Cause you're in for a surprise.
Even if he could instantly teleport there (he can't), there would be nothing he could do. Nothing.
Ghoso: Iron man shield himself from laser and rocks.
Uh, yeah. I hope Iron Man's shields can stop a heat ray capable of reaching temperatures
hotter than the sun

so who wins? also im sure ironman would be crushed by what superman can throw at him, not to mention the earth-moving punches he could deliver even in a lead suit.
