Dralas
Character: Dralas
Time: After Midnight
Location: Icecrown, Shadow Vault
- Dralas had nearly passed out from Varis' grip. He was only able to watch the events unfold before him because of how long it took to regain his breath. Each second he knew that if Varis wasn't defeated, that this could end up even worse. Suddenly, a large creature was flying at him. Dralas stood up quickly and ran away, ducking his head left and right to avoid the creature's grip.
Dralas saw the highlord battle Varis, dueling with his might and not giving in. Dralas had ran closer to the main group by now still dodging and ducking the winged bat. The ashbringer suddenly turned away from Varis and smited the creature with holy light, causing the bat to scream in pain as it bursted into holy fire.
Dralas saw that even with the ashbringer's speed, Varis was just as fast and saw that moment as an opportunity.
"Your mine now" Dralas heard Varis say.
"NOO!" Dralas yelled, running at the ashbringer.
.
..
...
Dralas stood there. Everyone was silent but Varis who was laughing. Dralas could hardly make a sound.
He had intervened and saved the ashbringer's life... with a cost. Dralas stood there, with Varis blade through his stomach.
Dralas fell to his knees and Varis pulled the blade out of him. Dralas grabbed Tirion wrist before muttering,
"P..please.. l..Light.." Dralas muttered before falling to the ground now bleeding horribly. In an instant, everyone in the room rushed at Varis.

NO!
Doomwhisper thought in anguish, her mind going blank and her blade exploded with light.
Varis turned as she blindsided him, forcing him to release the blade and slamming him back. She couldnt see the fear in his eyes, but her body had become a machine, striking rapidfire, roaring with anger with each blow.
Death, kill, destroy.
Ran through her mind as the blade continued to flash, each strike, while not cutting deep, burning the Elven death knight with the holy energy.

- Dralas grew weaker and weaker each second. Bleeding badly and his skin growing pale. Dralas coughed up blood and couldn't move. Dralas could feel his head throbbing in pain, his body turning cold and his lungs being seemingly crushed.
"P.. please.. help.." Dralas croaked, feeling each breath may be his last.

After seeing the Human "Dralas" taking the Death Knight's blow in Fordring's stead, he knew that the warrior was indeed on their side in the conflict. As the others battled the Elf, they managed to push the Death Knight back, several yards away from the fallen warrior. Base dashed to the human's side, kneeling next to him.
"Still, still, don't move," the troll whispered to the warrior, applying a cloth bandage that he had hastily withdrawn from a pocket on his belt. The blood continued to pour through, the bandage barely slowing the bleeding.
"
Damn,
" Base thought, "
this wound's too deep, I can't fully deal with this here in the middle of a battle,
"
He quickly searched his satchel, finally finding a small tube of an adhesive of some sort. He opened the tube and applied it to the edges of the wound, finally managing to glue the wound shut.
"Here, eat this," Base commanded the human, placing several small seeds into his mouth. The human painfully obeyed, recoiling at the bitter taste, but then swallowed. The humans eyes began to dialate oddly. "You may experience mild to severe hallucination as a side effect, but this should help the pain."

- "T.. thank you" Dralas managed to say to the troll before he motioned Dralas not to move. Dralas could only watch as the battle ensued, Varis slowly being pushed back by the shear force of power from the Ashbringer. However, without more help, even the troll couldn't keep Dralas alive. Dralas knew, he was going to die.
All Dralas could think about was what he had read in the book he found the carving in. The book that was read traditionally by all paladins in training. Dralas remembered the three virtues the most out of anything, respect, tenacity, and compassion..

Base watched as the human drifted off.
"Dammit," he muttered, before turning to the others, "I need a healer over here!"
He hoped that the Priest or Shaman could aid him. The human had suffered great internal trauma and was certainly bleeding internally, even though he had managed to close the wound, but he couldn't perform surgery with the Death Knight right there. The threat had to be taken care of.
"Can I get a healer over here!" Base shouted again, watching as Dralas grew more and more faint.

(( Flashback to Stratholme

- There was fire everywhere, people in the streets running and screaming. There were people on the ground with mutilated bodies, undead coming to life.
Dralas began running, he didn't know where, but only to get away. Everything was going slower, echoes of every sound rumbled through the air.
"So much fire.. so many dead"
Dralas thought. Dralas did not know what to do, he was confused, scared, and now alone. Dralas ran and turned to see two people in a corner, a man and a woman. Dralas eye's widened to realize it was his father and mother. Arthas was standing in front of them.
"You two are infected, and your deaths must come to you early" Arthas said.
"NOO!" Dralas said running, but he was too late. Dralas watched his parents killed and helpless to do anything. Dralas fell to his knees and began sobbing, he didn't know what to do, feeling like a lost soul...
Then, Dralas saw a bright light ahead of him, the destruction around him began to fade away.
"Wh.. what is that?" Dralas said.

"Will do," Base answered the Shaman, before jumping back into the fray. Highlord Fordring was fighting Varis, but they were nearly evenly matched, only the force of the others being able to force him back. Base snuck behind the Death Knight, and paused for a moment, before forcefully ramming his dagger into a space between the heavy armour plates that covered the Elf's back.

(( Sorry it took so long to reply. Was trying to post and do 25 man Malygos at the same time... Let's just say that this fight went a LOT better than that one... >> ))
Characters: Mavik and Glasius
Location: Shadow Vault
The exchange between these new allies of Glasius and Mavik brought a smile to his face. He coudl feel his soul being pulled in a million directions, but what could drain him of this much power? The dust and debris was gone now and his Power Word: Shield didn't weaken him this much. Then, peering to his left as he lay on the ground, Mavik spotted the Ashbringer and rememberd the Tome. That was the only way. Tirion must have tapped into Mavik's power and used it to come through his Tome. A part of him wanted to curse the Paladin for rendering him useless when there were others in need of his abilities but he knew that Tirion did what he had done for a reason. Slowly, Mavik closed his eyes and succumbed to his weakened state, passing out.
Glasius was also knelt down off to the far side of Tirion and the Death Knight. Clearly, his protection wasn't enough to protect him from the Death Knight's Attack earlier. Glancing over at the Broken Shaman, he mustered up enough strength to speak. "Do you need my help, Shaman?"
"I think I'll be able to handle it, Paladin." the Broken responded in a concerned tone.
Glasius nodded to him as he turned his attention back to Tirion. The Silver Hand Paladin and the Death Knight seemed well matched and it was against Glasius' beliefs to sway the battle in either direction. Looking around, he noticed Mavik curled up in a fetal position off to the side. With a quick prayer, the Paladin rose to his feet and ran to the side of his fallen friend, assuming the worst. "Mavik!" he called out hoping that he would atleast here his dear friend, atleast groan, but he heard nothing. Finally reaching his side, Glasius was in a panic. Grabbing his friend by the shoulders, he called out to him "Mavik! By the Light! Mavik! Don't die on me!" He placed his head to Mavik's chest and felt the priest's heart beating. It relieved him a bit, but he still wasn't sure of what was wrong.
-What are you doing, my child?-
Hearing the voice, Glasius closed his eyes. "My friend... please don't take him from me."
-Your friend is fine, Paladin. Just resting.-

- Dralas felt incredibly weak, cold, in pain, and was realized that he had just experienced a hallucination. Varis had been fought away, but Dralas still was dying. The healing may have sealed his wounds, but the energy being sucked away from Dralas because of all the blood lost was too much for him.
All Dralas wanted was to help his friends, to stop this madness and destruction. Dralas constantly thought about this and the three virtues, each racing through his mind and the events that had brought him to Northrend. He wasn't sure anymore about what will happen to him, but Dralas now collasped upon the floor with his eyes closed.

Mavik slowly opened his eyes, still weakened from the events that transpired. "How'd we do?" He asked in a hushed voice.
"We did fine, Mav. " Glasius said with a smile.
Tirion stood at the gapping hole in the Shadow Vault, looking out at the Fleeing Death Knight. Turning back to survey the personel damage, he slowly walked over to Glasius and Mavik. "you did good, Lad." Tirion stated as he knelt next to the Priest. "Were it not for your devotion to the Light, I would have not been able to step though this book."
"So, you knew all along?" Glasius asked.
"Aye. That Death Knight was infused with a part of the Lich Kings power. There was no way you all would have bested him." Tirion stood back to his feet. "However, the thing that gets me is why..." He slowly walked over to Dralas. "He wanted you, boy. Badly." Tirion's face took on a stern look as he knelt down next to Dralas placing his righ hand on the Warrior's head, soothing the pain in his body. "You mind telling me why you are so important?"
