Character:
Aelnon/Torphaz
Location:
The Argent Tourney, Icecrown
Aelnon spun, her gauntleted hand knocking the blade aside then slamming open palm into the chest of her attacker. She whirled as the human went flying out of the ring, already focused on the next oppenant. This one was a Tauren and she smiled as she moved forward, striking rapid fire with kicks and punchs, striking delicate nerve cluster's and pressure points.
As the Tauren fell, she knocked her backwards into an on rushing group, then continued her spin, her leg swinging out and tripping a Night Elf coming at her from behind. Aelnon back flipped away, landing in simple guard and watched those approaching with a smile.
Your having far too much fun my love.
Torph said into her mind and she grinned.
They asked me for a training bout dearheart, not the other way around.
Aelnon thought back, dodging the sheathed blades of a few crusader's, before trapping the weapons and using them to push herself up so she could kick out and send their bearer's sprawling.
"Come on lads, I thought you said you were going to give me a challenge!" She taunted, standing limber and ready for the next attack.

- "That is indeed a fearsome beast," Redeye commented about the Magnataur, "But he is hopelessly outmatched. These Alliance fighters may not be the best at what they do, but its still ten on one."

Aelnon had defeated the trainees and was now walking around the ring cooling off. She was sweating, but not heavily, as the fight really hadn't been that big of a deal.
"So you want a fight eh?" She heard from behind her and turned to face Torph as he landed and shifted into his Night Elf form. He stood waiting, bare handed and bouncing lightly on the balls of his feet.
"Wait a moment love." Aelnon said, going to the side of the ring and taking off her chestplate, shoulder plate, gauntlets and bracers. She turned back to the Dragon and took up a position across from him. "Whenever your ready to begin love." She said with a smile.

- Redeye nodded. "Those beasts are strong, but not horribly bright." He shrugged, "we'll just have to see."

Character: Mardnith Frosteye
Location: Near Crusader Pinnacle
As Argol began to climb higher into the skies, Mardnith felt something wrap around his leg, with a great tug he was suddenly falling through the air.
As he fell, he saw a bone-like whip on his leg, he swung his mace and shattered it. Argol swooped down from the sky and caught Mardnith in his talons. Mardnith saw Baduba cackling like a maniac, "Take me to him" he instructed his eagle. As they came closer to the death knight, Mardnith threw his other smaller hammer at him and began to launch a volley of razor-sharp ice blades at him, This volley was followed by him creating a great wall of layered barbs of ice. This wall enclosed Baduba, Mardnith followed this move by collapsing the newly erected structure onto the Highlord.
"Let us return to the Pinnacle Argol" he murmured as the snow began to settle.
The due landed in the outside of the Inn. Mardnith fell into a deep sleep and did not stir for many days. When he awoke, he heard whispers of great thing happening in the Coliseum. He decided to head there.

The two combatant's were mere blurs, as they spun and lunged across the ring, their hands and feet almost invisible as they went all out against each other. She spun, and brought down a devasting high kick, only to have Torph stop her leg and send Aelnon sprawling.
The green jumped and came down, his fist clenched and ready to strike. She rolled aside and heard the devastating crack as his hand slammed into the ground, shattering the stone of the training ring but leaving him undamage.
They continued their duel, not noticing the watchers gathering or hearing the bets go around as people cheered for one or the other.

Character: Base
Location: Argent Tournament
Base grumbled to himself. This tournament did little to amuse him. This concept of "honourable combat" with lances and rules and points was foolish in his eyes. The lance was a weapon, yes, but as such it should be reserved for killing. It was foolish to take up a weapon, not only unprepared to kill your opponent, but expecting that they were as well.
And the tournament inside that coliseum. He grumbled some more. Killing was sacred. You kill for food. You kill for safety. You kill for money. You do not kill for sport. You do not kill for spectical. In killing you should be efficient. Repectful, which this tournament was neither. Killing a captured beast in front of a crowd was neither efficient nor respectful.
But it was better here than in Ulduar. He shuddered at the memory of his vision. These things that called themselves gods were not of this universe, as other gods such as Elune and the Earthmother were. They were wholly foreign, and yet native. As if they were bigger then the universe, a part of it, yet more than it. He decided to stop thinking about it, as it only made him dread the coming conflict even more.
"Greetings, Troll," a voice behind him called out.
He turned, to find an Orc bearing the marks of the Kor'kron Guard smiling and saluting briefly.
"The Horde needs you! We fight against the Alliance on the Isle of Conquest for glory and honor and the bounty of the island. Join us!"
Base chuckled grimly, "I know neither honor nor glory, nor do I care about your Horde. I do not fight wars for pride or honor, or these other foolish reasons you come up with."
The orc growled slightly at the trolls insolence, but smiled again. "I have known many such as you. There is much profit to be made on this island. The bounty on the Alliance general is quite high."
Base' ears perked up slightly. "Profit... Yes. This is good. Let me tell you first that I am an assassin of the Rogues Guild, and that you are purchasing a life. Do you still wish to hire me?"
The orc laughed. "Yes... We'll see about that. You are hereby recruited. What name shall I put you down under?"
"I am nobody," Base answered, "I do not have a name save to those who I trust, and I do not trust many."
"Very well," The orc laughed, "Even better. No relatives to contact, no headstone to carve. I do love the nameless."
Base sighed and went to purchase a flight to the island.

- Redeye refleted on the battles he had watched in the arena. Both the warriors of the Alliance and Horde were well trained, the Lich King would have reason to be worried indeed. He sped up his pace, trying to find everyone else.

Dralas
Character: Dralas
Time: Morning, -- Day 15 --
Weather: Cloudy, cold
Location: Icecrown, Trial of Champions
- Dralas woke up, yawning heavily as he sat up. He put his feet to the side of the bed and stood, stretching his arms and legs. He strapped his gear on and grabbed the Ashbringer. Suddenly, a representative from the 7th Legion bursted through his tent, crusaders trying to hold him back.
"Ashbringer! Halford Wyrmbane needs you!" the soldier said, still fighting against the crusaders.
"Leave him crusaders. What do you mean?" Dralas asked, the crusaders letting go and standing aside.
"He leads the charge on the island of conquest! He is in great danger though against the horde and if isn't helped soon will get himself killed!" the soldier said frantically.
Dralas remembered all his memories with Halford, when they had met as boys in Stormwind so many years ago, and how both of them had teamed up in the arena when both were abandoned. He was perhaps one of, if not, his closest thing to blood family. Then he realized he was of the Argent Crusade, not the Alliance. He couldn't go out and make it look like he was out to kill Horde for the Argent Crusade's cause!
"Damnit" Dralas muttered, pacing back and forth. Then he realized something.
"Send out a message to all faction leaders and horde that are on the island of conquest. I will be arriving there, and if any dare attack me, I will defend myself" Dralas said, the soldier nodding, other crusaders complying and running off.

- Curious as to what had sent the Crusaders off in such a hurry, Redeye traced their steps back to a large tent. He recognized it as the tent of the Ashbringer, and - unless he eyes were deciving him, Valinaria had just gone in.
- His curiosity tempted even more, he walked up to see what was going on. "Knock, knock," he said.
