I did use
Heal
BOT
for like 3 days but it was too mind numbing. I'd end the day with feeling like i lost half of my braincells.
Just set up your left click mouse button to check for the Sacred Shield buff and if it's there it casts FoL.....
By far the easiest, but using it you wont be able to handle tricky situations because you're so used to healbot doing everything for you.
I'm using
Grid + Clique
.
This is by far the smallest option you can get your hands on.
If you want to get fewer addons you're gonna end up with the normal blizzard frames which are huge and not configurable.
Atleast with this setup i get to press alt/shift/ctrl on my own compared to healbot.

Back in the Kara days I used to heal but as far as addons went that related to healing all I used was XPerl and I don't really count that as a healing addon.
People always say to use decursive and all those other addons that pretty much play the game for you but in my mind it's kind of like cheating yourself.
Also as far as buffing goes, same thing. I have never used an addon and have never had an issue. If I am in a 25 man I hear my pally buff assignment and that's all I need.

Not necessarily. I've got three of my oh s*** buttons on mouse keys when I hold shift down, as well blessing of salvation, which is more to prevent tricky situations. The only spells I regularly use that aren't on healbot are judgement (and let's be fair, if you need an addon to use judgement you don't deserve to have a paladin), divine intervention, divine plea, and aura mastery, all of which I am completely capable of pressing the action bar button for. The reason I use healbot is it saves time on casting and, mainly, on seeing who needs healing and targeting them. You still have to know how to play your class, healbot or not.
I've never really gotten the hang of buffing addons, but I find I can discern between a rogue and a priest and decide which one gets might and which gets wisdom all by myself, with some practice.
