Ulduar Nerf the Straw that breaks the camels back?

Recently I have been made aware of upcoming (some live) nerfs to the beginning bosses in Ulduar. Now I must tell you I'm in a semi-hardcore raiding guild (Rex Kwon Do!) and we hit Ulduar, with our 10 man group, the first weekend it came out. We're all 25 man geared and half Best in Slot etc. etc. So we hopped into our vehicles and set off to down the Flame Leviathan. Our server was having a restart 10 mins after we started so we had to rush, in doing so we accidentally left up all four towers. To be honest, we died within 15 seconds of engaging him. Full wipe, but for some reason this pleased me. Hard mode is hard, learnt the hard way.
Server restarts, we dawdle back in. Take down all the towers, engage Flame Leviathan. Easy mode is easy. We then make our way up the corridor towards Ignis. Our Guild Masters voice comes out over vent. “Ok trash guys, lets burn them down and get to Ignis.” Trash, ha I thought, get out the Magma Totem.
They were hitting our tanks for about 10k mitigated. WOW. Panic mode rings throughout vent. People are running everywhere. Giant Molten Beings running after our poor souls, smashing us into the ground. “Holy crap this reminds me of MC” said our Main Tank. A smile cracked across my face when he said that.
Long story short, collectively our 10 man group wracked up about 2000g in repairs. However I went to bed after that raid with a million thoughts running through my head. Most of them were about how Ulduar related to Vanilla WoW raiding. The trash was hard and required strategies and timing to down them. The bosses only the most co-ordinated of guilds could down. Not many of those guilds could clear the whole instances.
Now with these nerfs it seems like Naxx X-2. I'm sorry if your guild is a casual guild who doesn't raid hardcore, but epics from these places are fast becoming welfare epics. What happened to the days when raid bosses dropped blues? Or only dropped 1 epic. DKP ruled supreme over any other form of loot distribution.
WoW is wandering further and further away from the game that I loved to play. What about you guys? How is it for you?

What really ticks me off is how long Ulduar has been out. what is it now? 2 weeks. Content
isnt
meant to be cleared that fast.

I'm not usually a total ass but you deserve it.
-Do not complain about content you haven't cleared yet
-Do not complain if you haven't even downed 3 drakes yet, before 3.1 on my server there were already pugs
-Learn that if you want a challenge do hard modes
-Don't complain about trash nerfs until you have experienced trash like what was in SSC and TK AT LEAST (after a while trash is just a waist of time)
-Don't say you're in a "semi-hardcore raiding guild" when you've barely done any achievements in naxx
I'm sorry if I come off as an ass but stuff like this irks me.

Making a long story short, Ulduar was not cleared in 2 weeks. It is mostly cleared after 2+ months of PTR testing (which was fairly close to Live) and 2 weeks of Live. So Ulduar was mostly (still not fully!) cleared in over 2 months.

I think slight nerfs to Ulduar aren't an awful thing. Here's why:
Currently, Ulduar 10 is not "the next step" for people who have cleared the previous 10 man content. Flame Leviathan is easy enough, but that's as far as you go with ilvl 200 gear.
Our guild isn't huge, and we keep it this way deliberately for many reasons. We'll never be big enough to raid 25 man content, and we have no interest in ever clearing Ulduar 25 either.
So why, if we want to progress in 10 man content, are we forced to participate in 25 man content first?
Now I can't speak for the 25 man version of Ulduar, but I can speak for the 10 man version. At the moment, its too hard. I have no problem with the fight mechanics - really I don't! Complication is fantastic fun. I do, however, have a problem with the size of the hits. XT is ridiculously difficult, as are the trash leading to Ignis. Tone down the hits a bit, so that we 10-man-geared healers can cope.
We've ventured into Ulduar a few times now (with many wipes per attempt), and its pretty clear we aren't getting any further without 25 man gear.

My guild took a "b" group into ulduar 10 last night, and cleared 6 bosses in 4 hours. 5 of us have been raiding since MC (I remember spending 2 hours wiping on molten destroyers, those were the days!), but the balance of the raid was relatively new to the scene. 2 of our dps were unable to break 3.5k, and our OT was only half epicced.
Ulduar is easy now - Blizzard made promises about Ulduar that they have not kept. We were promised a HARD raid - and Ulduar is not hard. The hard modes are hard, which is great (XT hard mode? NOT easy, lol), but the base instance simply isn't.

We haven't ventured into Ulduar since 3.1.1. Between 3.1 and 3.1.1, Ulduar was too hard for 10 man geared players. Now, I don't know but we'll have to give it another try.

This statement drives me nuts. $%^&ing nuts.
Blizzard
never
promised us a hard raid in Ulduar. They gave us the option to make Ulduar hard, but their main goal has been, and still is, to make Ulduar accessible to a larger pool of players. If it's easy for you, go play hard modes - that's what they are for. The higher level loot is an extra.
Base instance was never meant to be hard - it was meant to be harder than Naxxramas, and it is. It doesn't allow nearly as much slacking, and not even a single fight is simple tank 'n' spank.
