I've tried this game just cause i saw it on an ad from another site. Being bored i said meh, lets try it. Needless to say, yes it is indeed modeled for kids from the way it looks and presents itself. While playing it i felt this was like a mix of a kids version of final fantasy and online games (idk). But as i want further into the game it became more interesting. Grind out xp for each profession was a minigame, actually all the quests and xp grinds were mini games so you never really "repetitively killed the same mob to grind out xp," instead you played mini games based like bejeweled. Also to add, i went to the forums cause i had a question, and most of them on there were 18+, hardly any kids on here imo.

Looks pretty interesting...
Forgive me if someone already posted this, but I didn't see it in any of the replies as I glanced through.
It was actually the flying squirrel with the blue mohawk that got me to go check it out. Bright colors and shiny things amuse me.Problem is that once I got into the game, there was a lot more bright colors than shiny things, and I found out that without a balance between the two, I lose interest quickly. That, and the fact that the combat system (at least initially, only played for an hour or so) consists of nothing more than quickly clicking your opponents to attack them.Bleh.
I played it for a few days. It's 100% for kids. They just hit over 1 million users in 2 weeks. You can pay 5 bucks a month to get better gear and more playable classes. Kids will love it.
"free" realms.. well, great marketing atleast, but not at all free. On the border of illegal naming of a game, but hey, you do have the option of playing it for free. I doubt some will keep to just that... trading game, monthly membership with benefits, etc. Aimed for little kids, and parents can put real money into their kids "fairytail"-wallets for them to spend in a game. Speaking as an addicted wow player and a parent, I hope this doesnt become the new high amongst kids. Then they will all look like american kids who eats @ McDonalds every day. Not at all healthy.
Soooo.. gratuitous advertising ftw?Since the game is quite blatantly terrible. :) Might be a better idea to advertise to their target audience rather than teens and adults that would rather not play a game geared toward younger audiences. Then again, you can't really say no to a sponsor.
I think that beating Runescape in Graphics prolly isn't very hard lol.. I can think of games from years ago that looked better than Runescape.. xD.. But yeah.. Can't really complain about free mmos.. This one just just didn't tickle my fancy..
ok i tried the game. and it is ok there is so much in this game that everyone will find something they enjoy, for me if was the tcg in the game for others it maybe the Kart racing or maybe the pet trainer all in all the game looks good (all be it the graphics are marketed to kids). The mini games are fun and a nice touch. i give this game 4/5. (i still dont like f2p i wish they they would just charge me the 15 cuz it would be cheaper)
