As of today, 73 confirmed swine flue cases worldwide (40 in America), out of well over six billion people. As of yesterday (according to what he saw on CNN), only one person in the US even had to be hospitalized for it.
In contrast to that, according to
this
, cancer prevalence in the US was at nearly 11 million (out of 300 million) in 2005.
40... 11 million. Laihendi doesn't spend every day worrying about eventually getting cancer, so he certainly isn't going to worry about this unless it becomes far more widespread.

When more than 0.001% of the world population is reported to be infected, Laihendi will be concerned.
You want to wait until 68K people have been tested by the CDC? That will take months. Much longer than the disease will be out. What you are saying is that you will never be worried by viruses?
/grabs popcorn
Nothing better than a Laihendi vs. Boo-Boo debate.
/sips mountain dew
Truth.

I agree. There is not yet cause for worry in this case. I'm just wondering if you would raise cause for worry? How long would you wait? What would you do?

QFT
And what about
this?
Man, people are so easily panicked. I love it <3
Edit: as for me, I'll start worrying when the infected start to bite people or if the virus really becomes airborne (so no help from birds or sneezes, that's just cheating!).

That's the thing about zombies. Once you've got one zombie, things can get out of hand.

There is really no wrong answer I guess. I will never be worried, just different levels of common sense precaution.

You'd be worried if there were zombies in your city... but when its somewhere else you're not really concerned at all.
Prepare yourself now, before its too late to get your zombie killing gear.

The first story I hear (from a decent source) about the infected starting to bite people and I'm off to the Mukkes, the best defensible position in our entire town, plus it's a hardrock café so they have alcohol, snacks and METAL! XD
I'd really hate not having guns here in Holland though. Meh, guess we'll have to sacrifice the liquor =(

Don't worry, they probably will because we'd all be unarmed 'cept for some drugdealers, the police and the army.

Name sounds familiar... Wiki gives me "dead communist composer"... looks a little controversial. Can't recall any of his sounds.

Laihendi actually likes the earlier movements just as much, but everyone is always "ZOMG ONLY LISTENT 2 FAST PARTS". Not saying that's you of course.

Swine flu and communist regimes can both potentially kill someone.
