But then we are now back to the "How do we really know what they are using the money for" question I asked earlier. Just because they say one thing doesn't mean they are doing that. They
are
criminals after all.
Clever, I think we can't truly judge them until we know their motives, which we don't.

I wasn't talking about that, I was talking about the fact that you consider all stealing wrong, for example. Correct me if I am wrong. Laihendi considers few things to be unconditionally wrong, and stealing isn't an exception, but in most cases he thinks it's wrong. But what happened with the pirates was kidnapping and the threat of murder. It goes way beyond stealing.

Care to give examples?

Robin Hood stories describe scenarios where Laihendi would not object to stealing.
Is that what you meant?

What do you think this was? This was essentially Robin Hood... do you think Robin Hood just asks for the king's gold and the guards hand it over? Of course not, Robin Hood attacks the caravans, likely murdering the guards, then him and his band of thieves run off with the loot.

Are you stupid? Robin Hood stole from greedy aristocrats to help the poor. The Somalian Pirates steal from those supplying food to the starving so they can make money for themselves. They don't get involved in piracy to help others. Seriously, you're an idiot.

That response was totally unexpected and you took me by surprise.
Not. You've been saying that same *!@# all post. Yes, food was going to Africa. Food isn't going to stop making Africa a #$%^hole. In Robin Hood, the kings people lived in @#$%hole Somalia like conditions and had food to live, but no money to try to improve their lives. Then Robin Hood stole from the nobility and eventually obtained enough wealth to improve the lives of the peasants. Same &*!@.

So giving the pirates millions of dollars so they can use it to not help anyone other than themselves is going to make everything better? Maybe Laihendi has been saying what he has the whole time because it's true, and you're too dense to listen. Once again, you're being stupid.

Or not.
I'm dense, but you're the one who can only see in black and white.

You're right, taking the captain of a ship distributing food to starving Africans hostage isn't wrong, it's totally understandable...
Why didn't Laihendi see this sooner!

You're looking solely at what they did in that situation, but not what factors pushed them to it, what will occur after the fact, etc.
Do you honestly believe Robin Hood was a good guy, or do you believe he's a good guy because you're told so? Because honestly I believe you're just saying he's good because your parents put him in the "white" area, and you believe the pirates are bad because black criminals are in the "black" area.
One wonders if you're racist (although its probably not your fault, your parents likely made you that way).

So now Laihendi is racist because he doesn't think the US government should be paying Somalian pirates ransoms?
lol... /facepalm
