People who use Gearscore as a metric of anything meaningful.

Gear Score and achievement lunatics. you know the type:
LFM TOC10 5.5K min + link achieve or no invite
The ones who want to be carried by better geared people so they don't have to try. Those are, IMO, the worst kind of player.

the sort of elitists who refuse to give the new players any chance.
Like, I did my heroic daylie yesterday for my 2 frost emblems, and one on my group is a warrior with a GS of 2200, and was doing a very low DPS, the reason however was that he was a "brand new" lvl 80 player, and this was in fact his first heroic, so duh he had no good gear, no gems, no chants, nothing at all.
since his role wasn't a vital one (DPS) and we had 2 DPS who were overgeared (5.5k GS each) we had more than enough damage to complete the instance, this guy could slowly but steadily build his gear, and get used to how his class works...... fine rite?
well suddenly on my screen it shows up the "Vote Kick" feature........... to kick the low-geared player, and the reason for kicking him was "we don't carry n00bs"
/facepalm.
of course I pressed no, but the rest of the group said yes, and so the poor player was kicked by doing nothing bad, everyone has to start from zero, nobody gets to 80 and automatically has 4k GS. Kicking a player only because he's new is unaceptable, it's not like we're doing a raid wich is hard, and requires coordination, a knoledge of the mechanics, a suficient (and apropiate) gear, and good team-work.
but in a 5man heroic (and not even a harsh one, it was just Utgarde Keep, the lowest easiest heroic in the whole damn game) all of this is unecesary, we had a good tank (me, with a GS of 5.7k) a HUGE HEALER (5.9k GS tree druid) and 2 DPS who were greatly geared, so what the hell was wrong with keeping the newbie with us? jeez I think just the healer and me could had 2maned the whole place if we wanted to..........
some people are just damn ignorant and stupid.

The type that joins a random, asks if anyone else is after X-item, then drops from group if anyone says yes.
Chances are they queued for that specific dungeon (not a random) specifically for that item. Why wouldn't they do everything in their power to increase their chances at getting it? And it would make the other person happy too...less competition.
For me:
The people who complain about gs.

A quote from my least favorite player:
If you use addons that
I
don't approve of, you're playing the game wrong. If your pugs have gear requirements
I
think are not correct, you're playing the game wrong. If you don't raid for the same reasons
I
raid, you're playing the game wrong. Any of you who play the game wrong, since
I
am the one who knows how the game should be played, is a giant elitist.
It's the complete lack of introspection brought about by the extreme self-righteousness that I can't stand. Bonus points for backing yourself up with a strawman argument. My two personal favorites are:
1) This game is about having fun, but some people see purple pixels and forget that.
This particular argument makes sense because the person it laments spends hours every day playing a game they enjoy while the arguer is whining on an internet forum about how the world doesn't spin their way.
2) GS =/= skill.
If you were perma-banned for saying this on the Wowhead forums without
directly
quoting, from the same thread you posted in, someone saying that GS DOES equal skill, WoW general would be more abandoned than the theorycrafting forums.

People who measure their damage on short fights like bosses in heroic 5-mans, people who don't put effort to benefit to the group and don't care about other people's time and effort and people who think Power Word: Shield prevents generating rage.

Today I had an extremely well geared ret paladin in my group. I recently uninstalled my gs lite addon as it was causing errors so I don't know his exact gs, but almost every single item was 264, with 2 or 3 277 items.
He was a total &*!@#$%. He pulled many times by himself, and the tank was
not
moving slowly. The saddest thing was that even though the healer didn't heal him and the tank didn't pick the mobs back up, he had such good gear and DPS that he could solo those pulls he made. Jesus, I just wanted to punch him in the face so bad.
I don't know how to categorize that guy, but... that's the type of player that I hate the most.
So he speeds up the run at no risk to the group, and you hate him?
