It's alright. I'm going to be at my cousin's anyways. I'll just doodle with it in the morning.
Where do you live anyways, MyTie? You should be way off to bed, unless you live on west coast with yours truly.

This
page says minimum requirements are Windows, but that may not be the case. I don't really know that answer. If you decide to sign up, send an email to my 'junk' address at Meravingian@hotmail.com, and I'll reply with a free trial invitation. If you sign up as if I recruited you, I can have the benefit of teleporting you around, plus xp bonuses, and some perks. If not, that's up to you. The server name is Runnyeye, and my charachter's name is Mirrors.

What classes can the reptile race be?
Post by
MyTie
Two 'reptile' races'. They are both evil. In the end, any race can play any class, if they betray. Initially they are limited, although there are more classes available than I can remember... like 15 I think.

I'd like to play the one starting with i, and be a ranger or a conjurer
Post by
MyTie
I believe you can be a ranger or a conjorer starting out with any race.

Getting back on topic:
I would be willing to go in a bit for a Wowhead Ventrilo server.
Going from the prices at
Instant Ventrilo
, it looks like I would be able to go in for a 35 person vent (12 month) subscription.
Would anyone else care to chip in so we can get a larger one?

On subject
- To be realistic, the amount of people that a Wowhead Ventrilo server would have to support would be ridiculous. There would constantly be people in there from around the globe, and also I'm positive it would be spammed constantly with jackasses. There would have to be constant monitoring which can't always be achieved. Especially when the workers at Wowhead would generally be working on something on the site, and not really have the time to sit and babysit people in the vent channel. Also, the prices for a 200+ person vent server are not nice.
Off topic (EQ and such)
- I've played heavily in all three of those games. EQ 7 years, WoW 3 1/2, and EQ2 about a year.
To people who talk $%^& on EQ, %^&* you. EQ was revolutionary in it's day, and the graphics weren't pretty, but they were the best we had when we had to walk 7 miles in the snow uphill both ways to use a computer for 5 minutes to play. Also, the gameplay was pretty good. Yes, there was no soloing whatsoever, but that's what allowed you to make friends with everyone. End game raiding was a lot of fun if you were good enough to get into the guilds. Not many things more exciting than killing a GOD.
EQ2 is a good game, it's a shame it never caught on with the mainstream. Unfortunately, WoW was the EQ killer and not many people tried EQ2. EQ2 provides a lot of cool things to do, and many different ways to get things done.
WoW is a good game, Unfortunately, they're starting to make many classes indistinguishable from one another. Which is really beginning to annoy me. Sure, it's helpful to a certain degree, but at the same time, it's a class based game. Certain classes should be brought because they are needed to do a certain action. That's how I see it *shrug*. Also, things are constantly being made easier. Tradeskills for example: if you didn't play Vanilla, go look at some of the recipes for level 60 gear and look at the materials they require, and try to figure out how long it would take to get all that. Then look at tradeskills for 80 gear and look how easy it is.
I dunno, most people who play WoW tend to talk $%^& on other games. Most, I've seen, have never played any other MMO besides WoW, so they automatically assume that WoW is a better game. Games are meant to be challenging, WoW used to be challenging, and after 3.1, we'll see if it's still challenging or if I'm going to quit.
Kinda turned into a rant, sorry.
