Theres a big difference between controlling a class to mastering a class.
If you want to be potent you will have to master the class.
I'll be honest with you, I find mages with all their CC styles very hard to coup with, warriors are pretty complicated for me too, but DKs are pretty simple (frost tree at least)

Noztik
I play a warlock now (Noztik - Barthilas Horde) and have played one since around Late November 2004. (Auran - Human Lock Malygos at level 60 ; Viti - Orc Lock Spinebreaker Server at level 70) In these 4ish years of playing the lock I can say that my class is extremely easy to pvp with........agianst certain classes in certain scenarios.... At 60 I could take a mage to half HP without casting. At 70 I could kill druids like it was crazy. If I get the jump on rogues I can take them out like nothing.......
Basically what I am saying is that it changes all the time man. Sometimes playing in that match/duel/random world fight will seem easy but then other times you just had no chance. I didn't play for the first 6 months of BC so I had to learn what resilence was, and why I needed it, and all this. Then at 80 I leveled my warrior first so when Noztik hit 80 I had to learn stuff all over agian. Why did I do this ? Because no matter how many times I just want to get on my warrior and tank or hop on my rogue and be mellee during a kara run for once, I still love the warlock class. Even when my warrior was 80 in heroes gear and my lock was level 65, my lock was my main character.
Pick a class you enjoy playing, and just play it man. If you honestly enjoy it, you will learn how to play it correctly eventually.

play a rogue =P u need to be super duper skilled to even compete
Shiving crip till your kidney shot CD is up does NOT take super duper skills. L2Play?
IMO, the HARDEST class to play in PvP, while still being powerful and viable, is feral druid. It takes serious skill and timing and one lame dodge or parry can easily mean you are dead. And believe me, dodge and parry happen way more often than they should.
stfu - we have to constantly adjust to everything we take on - Try you gay strat on a warrior and see how far you go - ohhh its a rogue BLADESTORM! - If you have sucha !@#$% time playing against a rogue L2Play yourself
