So my warlock friend and I (paladin) were in Southshore ganking lowbies (don't even try to deny that it's fun) and of course an 80 comes. My friend just hit 80 and is in all blues, and I have 11 or so naxx/heroic epics. This 80 is a ret pally in full t7.5 with Cryptfiend's Bite, in addition to having a few PvP talents (PoJ and Divine Purpose, as far as I could tell), so after bursting my lock friend to the ground in under 3 seconds, he attacks me. I survive for a while, but inevitably he kills me (he is, admittedly, a much better player).
I rez and distract him long enough for my friend to hearth, then bubble hearth myself. We then decide to go gank in Darkshire (not much we can do together atm, he don't quite have enough dps for most heroics). We're there for 10 minutes, and we easily kill a feral druid and warrior who attacked, and then, out of the corner of my eye, I see THE EXACT SAME PALADIN running at us on his stupid little mechanostrider. Again, we're killed, and now corpse camped b/c our hearths are on CD.
Anyways, is there some crazy addon I don't know about that lets you TRACK players of the opposing faction? I can think of a few explanations aside from mere coincidence, such as one of his friends happening to be in Darkshire, but really? I thought this was crazy.

Wow, I'm an idiot, forgot about that channel...
haha time to break it to my friend that there isn't, in fact, a player-tracking addon.

Thats what you get for ganking lowbies. Good riddance.
go farm or level an alt if you have nothing better to do.

Ganking lowbies is not a crime, and in my personal opinion it is fun. If you disagree, that's fine, I honestly do not care.
And I by no means am quitting ganking ;]

I would say "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime"... but surprisingly you're not actually whining about getting ganked, which is refreshing. Most of the other posts I read like this involve the OP crying about his class, gear, or some other silliness.
And yes, ganking lowbies is in fact a crime, otherwise you wouldn't be hunted down by some vigilante and beaten to a pulp. Batman is not pleased with you.

There are player-tracking addons, but they are limited to same-faction, and generally only track guild, group and/or raid members.

If I were a Blizzard developer, I would put Dishonor points if you kill low level people more than one time. Even on PvP servers.
That's funny. The old honor system you actually did lose honor in the form of Dishonorable Kills. It's hard to remember back then, but from what little information I could find it only applied to low level NPCs however and not player kills.

Yes, dishonorable kills were only applied to a low-level NPC but you could gank low-level players all day long if you wanted to.

Oh, so much screaming over raid-channel when somebody killed a lowlevel vendor and caused the entire raid to get negative honor. Ah, the old days of World PvP.
