1. That's cool that you read Marx. Laihendi read the communist manifesto and liked some things, didn't like others.
2. Reading Mein Kampf is... worth another thread.
3. Laihendi saw your picture in the pics thread, and you seem muscular to him, but that might be because he's just skinny.
4. Sorry for air force/army mixed up.
Did you read the sequal to Mein Kampf?
@GoGoGozilla... if anyone has any problems, its thier fault, so don't be hard on yourself. When I walk out of a debate a sigh, and leave it behind. It's all in good fun. Pie and Tea!

Mmmm one last comment then bed >.>
First of all, I am a devout Christian. Although in (most?) Christian beleif Adultery is the worst sin, and I agree as such, the sin of wasting life to me hits home the most. I say wasting life to include a couple catagories, suicide, murder, and in this case abortion. I'm not going to go forward saying it's wrong cause of my religeon (which does not support abortion), but it's wrong because it wastes life. No matter what you beleive in, one thing is generally accepted, and that is that life as we know it is a miracle. Ponder your own life, is it not an absolute miracle at this moment you are living? Life is a precious gift not to be taken lightly,
so why steal that life away before it has even begun?
Of course you could take my idea and say "well then we can't kill animals, or plants, or anything, have fun eating rocks", but thats straying from the point. People kill animals only to support themselves, and I have yet to see a credible scientist prove plants have any concience. But to me it's all a respect issue, life IS a miracle, don't throw it away.
This seems to be contradicting the anti-abortion argument.

I have yet to see a credible scientist prove that embryos/fetuses have any more concience than animals.
Try defining 'consciousness' first. Good luck with that one.

Are you implying that animals aren't entitled to certain rights?
MyTie:To have a conscience you have to be aware of yourself as a living individual.

I agree here. But these rights should be common sense. The right to not be tortured, abused, etc. Animal cruelty is terrible and unacceptable. Do i feel that a sparrow has a right to not live near a highway, so we need to pay an extra 53 million to reroute it 5 miles around a hill to avoid a sparrow nest? Again... people should use common sense here. Common sense... so lacking in today's youth.

In Laihendi's defense, he wasn't twisting words, just bolding and underlining some :)
In Ugly's defense, your argument is a bit different from what everyone else is saying.

Ugh don't twist my words T-T I said that in a sense that in the big picture of life, this is but the tinyest part of it and it has hardly begun. Like when someone tells you to get off your couch, get a job, and to start living. They don't mean your dead, they mean get out and experience life already.
He didn't. He only used what you gave him.
If you think saying something will appear weak, either say it and know that you will need to accept what the opponent says, or that you will need to argue against what he points out, or don't say it and hope that the contradiction isn't ferreted out of you by other means.

What about raising animals for the sole purpose of slaughtering them? (Not attacking you on anything of course... he honestly wants to know your opinion).

Unfortunately Laihendi isn't good at debating :-/

The failed economic policies of George W. Bush and the fat cats in Washington.

TV raising kids, instead of parents. Parents don't care. The love generation is full of self love, instead of true family love.
@Laihendi: The animal production industry has many nasty sides to it I do not agree with. Unfortunate as they are, I cannot deny the part it does play in my life, and how it has helped out the economy. Gone are the days where the family beloved cow 'Bessy' dies quiety on a hill. Sad. I've lived on farms, and taken care of animals. My wife and I have a dog in bed with us at nights. My wife was a vet tech for over 8 years because of her love for animals. We truely love animals. However, many animals serve a purpose of feeding humans. They should be treated as kindly as possible (notice I did NOT say humanely, because they aren't humans).
It needs to be improved, but the animal industry serves a purpose.

Anyways, to bed with me.

Ugh too many different things to place the blame on, I'm torn here. But I'll go to my old standby...people do not think anymore. 99% of people (yes I'm a pessimist, surprise!) go through their lives with their minds disengaged, riding the roller coaster of culture and society. They don't stop to consider their actions and the effects of those actions. People are not held accountable anymore, and too much is done for young people these days - things that they could otherwise do for themselves.

Eh, Laihendi was joking. MyTie thought he was serious the first time he said it too.

Laihendi was making fun of the liberals who do that. Laihendi thought you could appreciate that :-/
