10. Drink
Brawndo
. It'll make you win at yelling. And be the only win you've had all night.
My sarcasm is funny. You're just comes off as.... brash. Please continue. I love watching people self destruct!
(See how that gentler sarcasm works in humor? I didn't think so)but I do not favor a law that is pro-life or pro-abortion.I used to think this too. The difference between 'thier own bodies' and 'abortion', is that there is an additional life involved. I think the same laws in place to protect me should be in place to protect the unborn (ie, no murdering).

It seems that this conversation regarding the 'flat earth' theory has wandered into the dangerous realm of abortion.
I recently read a book called 'Freakonomics' by Steven Levitt. One of the arguments that he made in his book was that the extreme crime rate drop in the late 1970's is due to Roe v. Wade legalizing abortion. He proposed that the drop in crime was directly related to the drop in criminals (he asserts that children born out of wedlock in a poor environment are extremely likely to become criminals). I found this very interesting (I thought I'd mention it because it is a fairly little-known association).
Of course, abortion is a very complicated, multi-faceted issue...both pro-life and pro-choice have their pros and cons (see what I did there?). Personally, I believe that the status quo is acceptable. People with religious or moral standards that differ from mine will, of course, disagree. I view this issue with an eye towards the future.

By that logic we should make EVERYTHING legal, and then the crime rate will go instantly to 0!

And in the case of MyTie he just flat out didn't get it...

Rape entitles someone to a free murder?
All you're doing is trying to incite anger and other such emotions by labeling women who were the victims of rape as murders because they don't want to give birth to the child.
I am not trying to incite anger. I am also not attempting to label rape victims as murderers. I am trying to say that there are other options.
You're contradicting yourself.

Something less sexually biased, like tennis.
My wife would kick your butt at arm wrestling, as many women would. Sexual biases are inside your head. Edit: She could probably take me down too.... as many women also could.

This isn't opinion.
I found
one link
with the claim of a past study which supports that assertion, and then dozens of anecdotes either way. Mostly support groups.
Which leaves me to conclude that I will ask a counselor, as I do not think there is such a psychology class offered at my school. Perhaps even my mother (who is a counselor, actually).

Definately research this. I'm majoring in psychology... come back and let me know what you find.
@Laihendi: Air Force, not army. And military guys (contrary to popular belief) do NOT spend all day arm wrestling, war painting thier hairy chests, and bashing beer cans on thier foreheads. They are people like... well... like an average company. I spent most of my time sitting in a corner reading... Plato... Hitler... Marx... The Bible... Pysics textbooks... etc.... My arms are twiggy.

1. That's cool that you read Marx. Laihendi read the communist manifesto and liked some things, didn't like others.
2. Reading Mein Kampf is... worth another thread.
3. Laihendi saw your picture in the pics thread, and you seem muscular to him, but that might be because he's just skinny.
4. Sorry for air force/army mixed up.
