I wouldn't immediately classify the guy as a worthless piece of crap either. If that's the case, every drill sergeant in the military is. No. He acts that way because it works for him.
LOL this cracks me up because this is such a crazy notion. This is world of warcraft. A game. When you screw up, you rez and do it again. Is discipline needed at times? Sure of course. But to the level that you are describing? No.
Comparing WoW to the military is a joke. You are taught discipline to the extreme in the military because if you screw up, you die and may take others with you. There is no rez, no second chances. So you can run your guild like a platoon, but in the end there isn't enough incentive for the members to put up with that unless they have personal relationships with the guild leaders.
Rant over.

To the OP... post the name of the guild and the server you are on. Embarrass them fully if you feel they were in the wrong. Let it be a warning to other people that are considering joining this seriously dysfunctional group.

A few things to consider.
1. This former guild of yours obviously cannot be a serious raiding guild if your Naxx25 raid didn't even happen. Most serious raiding guilds clear ALL 25 man content in one night these days.
2. I am an officer in my guild and I would NEVER allow myself to gkick someone without an explanation given in guild chat beforehand. And I certainly wouldn't ignore the person I kicked if they simply asked for a clarification. If they got belligerent in whispers I would definitely ignore them. EVEN if you had done things wrong in the past it was wrong to gkick you without providing an explanation (i.e. "Your dps is low" etc).
3. Maybe it's just me but if I had an officer tell me to "not embarrass the guild" before a pug I would've gquit by myself.
You obviously care about being in a guild and not being shunned by others. This is a good sign for you. However, do not allow people to walk all over you even if they're officers (%^&*ty ones from the sound of it).
Good luck.

I agree with globalgirl.
Just get up and move on. I had similar guild drama not too long ago. BC, my guild was a raiding guild who couldn't get past kara. Not only were we struggling on a few bosses in kara, we didn't have the people to run 25 mans anyway. I won't complain about progress; it scored me the Vampire Bat. So everything was all hunky-dory til Wrath hit.
I used to have an irritating habit of talking a lot and about basically every single thing that happened. Well, a few guildies decided they didn't like me for it, so while I was levelling in Sholazar, they decided to take action. Prior to this a few other members had gotten pithy with me and left; because i told them to stop QQing about retadins. Oh if only I had known how much I would QQ about DKs in the time to come. They admitted they had overreacted.
Well, anyway, this scheme involved getting several people to fake leaving because of me. So of course, i put out the ultimatum that the next person to leave, I would just /gquit. Guess what happened.
I even got a whisper from one of them after this act, saying "did you leave yet". Of course they forgot the alt I had in the guild so I managed to grab some damning evidence. Matter of fact, I think that alts still in there.
In the end, I realize I should thank them. I'm a lot better off without the asshats I was guilded with, especially the GM. He had had 'internet troubles' recently. Sure, that prevented him from logging on in a RL friends house (rl friend was an officer) to deal with the guild. Not to mention that he did log on eventually. The day after I said "screw it" with the guild. A relative knows the guild master IRL and he's a jackass anyway, apparently.
The main one behind this little plot is still in the guild to this day, even though I posted screenshots on the forums proving he planned it. Bah.
Well. To make a long story short... (Too Late!)
I'm in a great raiding guild with some good people because of that little mishap. :-) A few of the people who agreed this was bull@#$% left the guild. Heh.
If you play Mannoroth, the plotter was named Zectos. He still tries to troll me to this day.
EDIT: He's no longer in the guild. Interesting.
EDIT2: Edited for clarification.
