Mangle buffs Shred as well. It's a necessity.

Whether trying to be successful in PvP or PvE, it is a necessity. Mangle hits harder than claw, and debuffs bleeds that are now fixed(Rake didn't scale with AP in TBC).
In PvP, if you only ever use shred, you will probably be missing 25-50% of your damage. No joke.

I would reccomend listening to this guy.
Also shred isn't very useful in PvP cause you rarely ever can plan to hit someone in the middle of combat in the back ON PURPOSE 90% of the time. Mangle and shred and rake and rip completely overpower this move.
No.
Shred is the best CP generator move feral druids have in PvP, you just need to learn how to use it in combat.
It's not only possible, it's easy if you learn how to move around.
It's possible to choose mangle over shred in a mangle oriented pvp spec but it's trading an insane amount of damage for a little more comfort.
( P.S: Mutilate was a decent pvp spec before they buffed it and mutilate rogues did'nt used sinister strike to get CP" ).

Don't even think about speccing feral without MANGLE! THE MOVE OF ALL MOVES! (fun to spam in bear form with beserk haha)
Yeah, you're wrong when it come to Shred in PvP. Logically, you would think that it would be difficult to land a move that requires you to be behind a person when in 1 on 1 combat, however, it's just like backstab with a rogue. You just strafe and bounce around until eventually with the latency, you end up behind the person and it goes off, even if it may look like your to the side of them, or even in front of them.
However, bottom line is a feral build with out mangle is failure at it's finest.
