What did you guys drop your last 20 points into?
Personally, I speced into Prot for Imp Devo and Divine Guardian, mostly because my guild has ONE Tankadin who is rarely on. Come to think of it, Im one of the only two or three truly active level 80 Paladins, all of whom are speced Holy. One of the other two usual Naxx 10 healers is also a Holy Paladin who dropped his 20 points into Ret for the 8% crit increase. Were both similarly geared, or at least we were before I stopped playing for two weeks, him having the upper hand, and we both did about equal overall healing done and hps according to Recount.
What Im wondering is which 20 point dump is truly better. From my limited experience (I started playing this past September) both seem equally viable, at least for 10 man Naxx or 10/25 Vault/OS. However, the more I theorycraft in my head in class while I should be taking notes, the more I go back to thinking that increased crit (mine is a laughable 19% for Holy) is more important than I initially thought in comparison to the constant 6% healing increase through Imp Devo. I sometimes come close to going oom on the bosses if I dont stay on top of Arcane Torrent and my Divine Plea macro (a.wrath, d.illum and trinkets I dont have anymore :X) and Illumination seems to be the bread and butter mana solution for us, extra crit making it really shine.
loltldr 20 points in Prot for bubble wall and imp devo or Ret for crit?
Also, I have no illusions that Im a master wower, so any other, preferably constructive, criticism on gear/spec is welcome. That said, I KNOW I NEED A FREAKING LIBRAM :P

This build would be better because the extra crit isn't worth the extra healing in the long run because base healing also impacts crits as well, it's total healing. It's really a choice between 1-5% crit or 5% healing and Divine Sacrifice which can be an "Oh %$#!" button for your raid.

Where are you getting 1-3% crit from? And isnt that 5% dodge only slightly more beneficial than 15% str to me as a raid healer? ;)
And lately Ive been valuing Imp BoW less and less with its 2 point cost for its whopping 18 mp5 increase. I also have Glyph of Seal of Wisdom, making Benediction a little less of a must have. No offense, but Im looking for more of an experienced Holy player response.
Aside from a small variation in the tier 3/4 Holy talents, Im trying to decide between

and

or something similar; even then still debating between constant healing increase and extra crit.

It's 1-5% or 1-8% crit (If you ignore divinity, bad idea) and it's from taking conviction and/or Sanctified Seals to boost your spell crit, depending on how many points you would have left to spend. Also, both those builds are the same (according to the links) and they're both the best (IMO). Go into prot, it's more beneficial for you.
...Also, Divine Strength is useless to you, 5% dodge would help you out a lot more in raid fights. It might actually be better to take 2 points out of Anticipation and put them in guardian's favor for the reduced cooldown to Hand of Protection.

I personally raid with
51/0/20
. The only fight that I think Divine Guardian is really useful for is Sarth3D where the benefit to the raid outweighs the personal gain from the Ret talents. For your basic everyday farmed content healing, I would recommend spending the 20 points in Ret and only spec for Divine Guardian when progression content calls for it.
As for the 6% from Devotion Aura, this can also be provided by a Tree Druid but again, you may not have one of those. The main thing is that whilst both raw healing and crit provide more output, crit also has the added bonus of increasing your regen. I would definitely value 8% crit over the 6% healing, especially since you have such a low amount currently.

The original post didn't say anything about 3.1, they were comparing CURRENT specs...

Well, your build is the current cookier cutter build that I was thinking of at the beginning of this post but when I saw the word "After" at the beginning, thought 3.1. Better to think ahead anyway, IMO.

It could still be a month or longer before we see the next patch go live so that is quite an extensive amount of time to wait around. People still need a spec in the meantime.

Yeah, very good point. Your spec is win for the next month or more, then. (300th post, I'm off to bed...)

Bit of a noobish question, but does dodge affect aoe damage?
And whoops on the second link.. Supposed to be 51/4/16, with Imp Judgements and 4 points in Conviction.
