So I'm a tard because I'm dying to my own seal, simply because healers aren't healing me?
It was a retorical question.
I have never died to my own seal, I play with competent healers.
And "pezz", why waste a global cooldown? FoL for ret paladins heals less then a Circle of Healing cast.
So, why on earth would you use a seal that makes you take damage, when you know that you are not being healed 80% of the fight.
Because it does more dmg. DUH. And why on earth are there no raid heals in this "situation"? I have never raided where there wasn't a dedicated raid healer (Outside of Patchwerk).
If you've done the fight against loatheb, you know what im talking about. There is only a 3 second window that the healers can heal people.
Go back, reread every one of my comments in this thread. I mentioned not using it in certain fights, Patchwerk, Loatheb, Sapphiron included.

It's not a waste of a global cooldown if you'd kill yourself otherwise. I'll agree that if you're in danger of dying through seal damage your healers are slacking, but you don't play the game and pretend it's like you don't even have a health bar just because they aren't supposed to be your problem. If you're about to die, heal yourself. You may lose a global cooldown but you continue dpsing the entire remainder of the fight, which is always worth more damage than that one global cooldown could possibly have done. You can always yell at your healers later after you prevent yourself from failing.

My worst pug was probably when I was tanking a heroic timed CoS.
It was me the DK tank(... I know I know... I don't play him anymore :D)
A blood dk (who we all suspected was a fail... but we didn't say anything)
My buddy and his bro hunter and feral drood
And this amazing tree...or priest... one of you. Should you be reading this, I give you props nonetheless.
So basically we're falling behind on the timer and during the 'gauntlet' part where everythings on fire, feral drood goes bear and we double tank our way through, basically taking half the mobs at once. We finally make it to the guy, with a little more than a minute left. I grab aggro, flip to blood to speed up the process only to find out... that the dk tard wasn't there. Apparently he ran off to the boss and started fighting him.
The healer had to switch to dps as we neared the end of the timer and the dk is in party freaking out on us because he's dieing,
we manage to kill the guy AS he's entering his portal due to dots. We all cheer, I won the drake, I was very pleased. The tard turns up, yells at me for it somehow being my fault for him not getting to roll, and continues yelling. I promptly boot him, and he's the first one on my ignore.
Sorry for the wall of text, but! Is it me? Or are dks the new huntards?
btw his dps was less then 1000 >.>

Wow, you're ignorant. You claim to "fix" his post and say that threat has no part in the mechanics of it, yet the tooltip clearly states that threat is a deciding factor.
If a melee has high health but low-to-no threat, he won't be hit by it.
If a tank has low health but second-to-highest threat, he'll likely get hit by it.
The "highest health" part is only a deciding factor if there are a few or more high-threat melee/tanks in range of the ability.
Far out, People will interpret things only slightly wrong and crow out of their asses.
The whole point of the Patchwerk fight is a
GEAR CHECK FOR EVERYONE
note the EVERYONE. The health is a deciding factor. Why? Your healers.
IF your healers cannot keep your tanks HP higher than the melee HP, what is going to happen? The tooltip says: Threatening Target. Not Highest Threatening Targets.
Obviously, threat IS a deciding factor BUT, if your healers cannot keep the tank above melee HP. The melee will get hit.
See how the fight works? Very simple, effective way of making sure that everyone plays a distinctive role. I can break it down even further like this into roles:
DPS Role: Beat the enrage timer.
Healers Role: Keep tanks up for 2 reasons. 1: So they stay alive, thus stopping Patchy from attacking the rest of the raid. 2: Keeping the tnaks HP up
at all times
so that the other melee DPS don't get hit, so that the melee can DPS(note how this correlates with the DPS roles
Tanks: Gear themselves accordingly, if the Hatefuls are hitting too hard, bringing your HP down faster than the healers can top you up, you will die. If you can stay alive but the healers are having trouble keeping you up, the melee dps will die.
This is not the be all and end all of the fight. It can be explained in even greater detail if needed. I had to lay it all out because we had some Pug healer blaming our tanks for the melee dieing, when he was obviously above them in threat, but his health had hovered at about 40% while the melee died.
Threat IS an issue. But the HP variable is on the tooltip for a reason. It is NOT solely threat based like some would have you think.

I grouped with this warrior for Vault of Archavon 10-man.
Before the instance even started, he continuously critiqued a few specific other players, saying how much they sucked (I knew this warrior was terrible, as he's on my own blacklist...but decided to spare a chance), and requested invites for people I knew were also scrubs or failed to play their class properly.
At Emalon, he volunteered to tank the boss, and was incredibly squishy (over half his health was vanishing with each strike), and I was easily pulling aggro off him on a consistent basis, even with me using Feign Death...
Guess my blacklist says it all...

been reading these posts for a while so decided to write my story of a noob.
Ok. That's well and good.
we told him
tacts
and he said he understood 'em
What exactly, are the tacts, ma'am?
pulled again but when he should taunt he did the same
think again
with the zombies. wipe
I wish you had "think"ed before writing your post.
some ppl are retards for all their
live
, even if you tell them how not to be
Indeed.
Honestly, the average IQ of a given WoW player has taken a nosedive ever since the appearance of WotLK. And most of the responses in this forum are the most poorly written, noobish, terrible responses I've seen.
Perhaps look at the 2x4 in your eye, before pointing at the sawdust in others' eyes.

Worst? I don't know. Certainly this guy was terribad though...
Running Nex today on my hunter, the group was me (71 MM hunter), 75 DK, 76 balance druid, 71 blood/unholy (36/0/26) DK, and a 73 holy priest. The 71 dk was yelling and screaming about how everyone was taking too long, etc, etc...and his dps was about 450, the druid and i were about 1.1k, and the other dk was over 1.4k. suffice to say we carried him through the instance. The lower DK says about 10 minutes into the instance:
Him: brb guys, gotta eat dinner...ima follow the hunter
Me: ...
Me: how long?
Him: dunno, not too long
Me: ok, whatever dude, do your thing
After we down the last boss and are dropping group and hearthing, he comes back (I'm the only one left in the group) and says:
Him: what did i miss?
Me: everything
I drop group and hearth. I hate it when people ride other's coattails. Slackers.
