Not suggesting you add this to the guide as such, more of a question as to your opinion Svirve.
Would it be worth picking up engineering to get use of teh AoE bombs? seems like although they'd be alot of time spent leveilng engi and time spnt mining, they'd give one massive help out in AoE grinding.
I also believe there are some "grenades" like EZthrow Dynamite which can be used by non-engi's for a lil extra damage.

Sure the bombs are great.
Gives you a nice damage boost and most bombs will also incapacitate the mobs which if timed correctly will give you an opportunity to heal if necessary.
Ez-Thro Dynamite II
and it's predecessor
Ez-Thro Dynamite
Are both available to non-engineers.
Leveling professions are a great way to "relax" and take time off from grinding mobs.
I might be adding the bombs to the revamped version of the consumables :)
Cheers!

I'm just starting to level my pally and plan to go prot and aoe grind starting at lvl 30. One thing I haven't really heard anywhere is how fast can I actually expect to level? I assume it's fast enough that it's worth it but have never seen any time estimations. How quickly can I expect to move through the 30s once i get the hang of things?

Edited: punctuation
That's very very different from player to player.
The only hour count i can slightly recall is taking 32-33 in ~30 minutes, 33-34 in ~45 minutes & 34-35 in ~1 hour.
This was done at the farms in arathi highlands.
Give or take 10 minutes since it was a while back but that's what i can recall right now.
This was during a pretty effective grind too. 32-33 was a non stop grind and the other two was done while talking to a friend so i was performing slightly worse there.
But as i said it will differ alot from person to person. Amount of dedication and patience will influence it the most.

Thanks for the quick reply. It sounds very promising. I think I found a sheild that might be worth adding to the list. It's horde only and you can't be undead, but it's given as a quest reward tha you can get at lvl 28.

I hope that worked. If it didn't the shield is called Vile Protector.

Uther's Stregnth
is a world drop, find it on the AH if you're lucky.
If you're into Raiding (or can find a group of 80s to tag along with), try
Essence of Pure Flame
from Ragnaros, or
Fetish of Chitinous Spikes
from Buru the Gorger in AQ20.

Level 60 is starting to get clogged up with trinkets now ^^ Currently 5 trinkets there but it's only for the better :)
More to choose from :)

Edit:
I've just edited every link in the gear section to be like 1/3 of it's previous length.
Nothing has changed visually but if you find a broken link please inform me so i can fix it ASAP.

This is saying that to Consecrate Grind we should spec Protection(I don't see why not). This is a Wonderful guide for those that really want to progress faster.
I didnt really get the first part but thanks alot for the praise :)

Thank you for this guide, it's great. I quested to 68 with a little grinding here and there, but now that I'm in Northrend I also want to farm Frostweave, since I'm a tailor. That's right, a manly bag making tanking tailor.
If anyone was interested, I grinded Magmoths in Borean Tundra for just under 2hrs. last night for about 140K xp/hr. Although it was probably more since I spent the first 10-15min. at the auction house and traveling. I dinged 69 and the ETA to ding 70 was just over 4hrs. Though I'm sure many could grind faster than me. I jumped back and forth between the mentioned cave at the bottom and another alcove just above that contained 3 pairs of Offspring and Mates. I killed a few of the creatures in between with the fire totems who are annoying and that was usually enough time for the Magmoths to re-spawn.
I'm very excited to hit 70 because I have a full Cobalt set waiting in my mailbox.

Wraith Scythe
is a BoP drop from Trash mobs in BRD if you get lucky.
If not, there's always
The Hand of Antu'sul
from Antu'sul in Zul'Farrak.

To a greater extent yes.
There are a few minor gaps in the guide (like levels 56-58) otherwise i've covered pretty much every level.
You'll have to be rather persistant and patient to do so though.
You can do it on a fresh server as well, you'll get alot of money since you're grinding and taking the time for the occasional trip to the AH to sell off the BoE greens/blues and perhaps some epics if you're lucky will net you enough money to gear up.
Your first priority if you dont have any startup money is to get bag space though.
16 slot netherweave bags usually sell for 5-10g depending on server economy. And the 20 slot frostweave bags can range anything from 50-150g.
