item selection for instance. These are the items that will contribute to your armor value.
So. Assuming Thick Hide and SotF.
Total armor here: 3472. This value is multiplied in Dire Bear Form now like this: 3472 * 4.7 * 1.66 * 1.1 = 29797. With a gear like this and raid buffed, the Bear will probably have ~1000 agility. That adds another 2000 armor. Improved MotW adds another 1050 armor. Devotion Aura adds another 1020 or so. Aaaah so now we have 33867 armor. There you go.
Hmmmm now let's consider the new 33% SotF modifier. 3472 * 4.7 * 1.33 * 1.1 = 23873. Add the previous values and you obtain 27943 armor.
Using some armored staff, rings, trinkets, cloak, necklace, one may obtain some additional 3000 armor.
... wait, WUT?
Now we have ~37000 armor (with armored jewels, cloak etc.), in 3.1 that will drop to ~31000. I say

Glyph of Rebirth -- Players resurrected by Rebirth are returned to life with 100% health. (Old: Increases the amount of health on a character brought back to life via Rebirth by 100%.)
Glyph of Starfall -- Reduces the cooldown of Starfall by 90 sec. (Old: Increases the duration of Starfall by 2 sec.)
Glyph of Berserk *new* -- Increases the duration of Berserk by 5 sec.
Glyph of Wild Growth *new* -- Wild Growth now affects up to 6 targets.
Glyph of Nourish *new* -- Your Nourish heals an additional 6% for each of your heal over time effects present on the target.
Glyph of Savage Roar *new* -- Your Savage Roar ability grants an additional 6% bonus damage done.
Glyph of Typhoon *new* -- Reduces the cooldown of your Typhoon spell by 3 sec.
Glyph of Barkskin *new* -- Reduces the chance you'll be critically hit by melee attacks by 1 to 0% while Barkskin is active.

The Glyph of Barkskin is probably a Resto-PvP-glyph, considering that they have the improved Barkskin in their talenttree.
Now I'm a bit at loss at what to take.
Glyph of Rip, Mangle, Savage Roar and Berserk! AAaagh!
I need to find myself a Mangle/Trauma-bot.

And yes, Aadra seems to have nailed the problem with the armor-calculation. I was thinking of it, but didn't have time to go through it. I'll do it once I get home... perhaps. :D

Perhaps I'm stupid but can someone explain the living seed change?
Basically includes overhealing now.
Old: Crit for 5000, but healed for only 1000. Living Seed would only heal for 30% of the effective healing, or 333.
New: Crit for 5000, but healed for only 1000. Living Seed now includes overhealing, so now heals for 1500.
Not sure why they obfuscated the notes with that phrasing. I read a simpler note earlier that basically said 'now includes overhealing.'
Some very nice glyphs coming. With the spirit regen buff/nerf I will probably drop innervate for Wild Growth, keeping Swiftmend and... I don't remember what my other glyph was.
I fully expect to see the new savage roar toned down. It just seems like way too strong of a buff to keep up 100% of the time. Its ability to scale is simply too high, especially with the glyph.
will this stack with kings? i believe not but i say no to extra free effects
Yes, because that particular benefit isn't included in the MotW
buff
, just the Imp MotW
talent
. It's like Furor, it provides two independent effects.

Also, for people who think Savage Roar got nerfed because they think Bleed wont be affected anymore, its not. It is a buff. Bleed are physical attack.

someone wanna help me on this since i still cant get to those value's Aadramelekh
i got 6720 armor in human form
1356 of it is from agi
700 from weapon
550 trinket
and 490 from a ring
so that leaves 3624 armor base
atm my bear armor is with thick hide and 66% 31347 armor
so if i use you calculations
3624*4.7*1.66*1.1=31101 armor what am i doing wrong then :O with calculations(yes i suck at math)
anyone of you better at math pls type out my armor for next patch since i am really getting clueless on how to calculate it

LOL blizzard just nerf resto druid. Is kinda of odd how they keep nerfing the healing class (priest and then shammy and now resto druid). Seems like they want to drive ppl away from being a healer class.
I given up on my hunter coz of the pervious patch(still doing 1st or 2nd dps in SV but just hate that). Then started playing a priest till bilzzard is going to change the 5sec rule(I was ok with the CoH nerf). Now my resto druid is getting nerf as well.
Maybe blizzard just hates me.
Restoration was hardly nerfed at all. Excepting the overall nerf to spirit regen, the only thing they hit Restoration with was reducing Regrowth's chance to crit through talents, and they even compensated for that by increasing Nourish's chance to crit. Regrowth crits only account for ~75% of my (non-HoT) Regrowth healing, and Regrowth overall only accounts for ~15% of my healing. It's not going to adversely affect my performance at all.

after i saw the glyph of nourish , i did see that regrowth only a hot now with ok healing help
Nourish got hell of healing potency if you have all the 4 hot's up...that even scary....to think of crit with all 4 hots up...on that speed and 30% (talent + base crit) i not think its that bad alone beside i only use regrowth because of crit /glyph and hot.....now it will go down to just hot for me as nourish heal more DH

Also, not too happy with:

* Survival of the Fittest (Tier 6) now increases your armor contribution from cloth and leather items in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by 11/22/33%. (Previously 22/44/66%)
Even tho we get the shield .. I'm quite certain I will have problems taking Hateful Strike's single handidly on Heroic now ... and as for Sarth 3d ? Bah with armor nerf I'm quite sure I'd rather have a pally tank it now : <

Bears were used because they had 50k raidbuffed health to eat the 30k fire breaths and survive. Not sure if the other tanks have similar health totals post-patch.
Bear's physical mitigation has not been significantly better than paladin/warrior since they nerfed bonus armor from being multiplied, and thus was not the major reason for using bears on 3d Sarth.

I am well aware of this ^^ But, my problem being .. that 30k will not be 30k anymore with approx 6k armor vanishing from me. It's going to hurt when I get a breath + melee from Sarth to the point it'll become risky as hell.
Guess I'll hold of with my complaints till we get to test it, but I am seriously doubting it will be anything other than what I expect.

Count how much armor your gear is giving you (Leatherpieces and cloak). Subtract this from your caster-form Armor.
Take the amount you have left and put it on the side*.
Take the amount of armor you had on your gear, multiply it by 7,013622, and then add up the armor you put on the side*.
Voila, your armor in 3.1.

just did that calculation you said slimda and it turns out i lose about 5-6K armor
seems a bit harsh but it will depend on the uptime of the shield and how they actually pull it off
just kinda wondering what to actually take for glyphs&spec now (still want to by hybrid(great tank decent dps) with healer as off spec if that actually stays possible to do)
kinda wish they made some of those minors since they are worthless atm
dash cooldown reduced not really gamebreaking for me same with the rez reagent ones etc
