True, but Thaddius will most likely freak this kitty. I know he will put me and the MT on same side so I can't shred. Stupid RNG.I have a feeling you won't be seeing Thaddius too often once 3.1 arrives :P So let him go... he's had his days of glory.
If blizzards make some more gear to buy form Emblems of Valor, we might not have seen the last of Naxx, in case you want to go farm badges. ^^
Oh, damn. Just read that new Emblems will be employed in 3.1, from Ulduar 25 man (you may still get Valor from 10 man). :(

except they have also given us this new shield mechanic, so AP&Crit also become and odd form of mitigation. Only time will tell how that one will work out
Doesn't it worry you though that the shield STILL isn't implemented yet in the PTR?

They just implemented a bunch of new stuff. No, I'm not worried. Blizzard doesn't release everything on the PTR in one go.

You seem to have the same issue as with the previous emblem loot, Mr.
parrazell
. When are you going to swallow that these are supposed to be side grades for equivalent quality (ilvl 226) items that drop in Ulduar 25? I find them very nice, and generally about 10% better than the current ilvl 213 items that I have.
And for instance, if in the first 2 months of Ulduar I shall be running as Bear main spec, I shall collect latex DPS gear along the way using my emblems ^_^ I see nothing wrong and exactly as it is supposed to be.
And that tank necklace is the third in a succession like this:
Chained Military Gorget
>
Heritage
>
ilvl 226 Tank Neck
. Which seems very nice to me. After all, it is an improvement in all respects, and most of all it provides a HUGE chunk of hit rating. I like it the way it is, thank you very much.
The Rogue Belt
looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL for both Bears and Pussy Cats. The
Rogue Pants
are a revamped version of the
Leggings of the Honored
, with slightly less AP but more crit, hit and haste. IMBA! And the
Rogue Gloves
are basically a souped up version of the
Valorous T7 Gloves
, with more AP, crit and haste, but no socket. I think I like them ^_^ And finally the
Agility DPS Amulet
is a
Favor of the Dragon Queen
, but of a somewhat lower quality, as the quest reward has a socket, more AP and crit, while this one has more agility and armor penetration. And let's not forget they both are some very beautiful tank pieces as well!
I hope you will see these emblem items in a different light now,
parrazell
. ^_^

Yeah, you do have a point. However, looking at the big picture of this game in general, this is what gear design tendencies have been since high level 5 man dungeons in Vanilla WoW. An item is categorized as cloth, leather, mail or plate to determine its armor class at a given item level. Then that item level is translated into a collection of some attributes (generally 2 or 3 now, the days of 4 or 5 attribute items - think of druid gear like the
Genesis Raiment
or the
Malorne Harness
- are buried) and 1-3 green stats (AP, crit, hit, mp5, resilience, defense rating etc). Unique items such as the
Horned Viking Helmet
aren't likely to appear too soon. Or probably some legendary uber infused item :P
This is the itemization, going with +6-7% more attributes and stats for every item on the next 'tier' (as in from ilvl 200 to ilvl 213 items) makes them look boring if you give them more importance than they are supposed to have - only some items that provide support stats and attributes for your character to function better. That is why people that see the purpose of this game as being 'omg must get best gear in slot!11!' are disappointed. Gear is a means to a greater goal - having fun with your character getting better at what it's doing and experiencing as much game content as possible in raids, PvP etc. And the fact that the difference from, say, ilvl 213 to 226 is, in terms of item level, exactly 6%, should hint that the ilvl 226 item is marginally better than the ilvl 213 one, given the pattern of attribute & stats distribution (2-3 attributes and 2-3 green stats) and the slight variations influence decisions only in terms of getting a better balance in your overall character mechanism.

According to EJ forums, Bleeds now crit for 100% damage, instead of the original 50%.

Dang... I'm looking forward to this as dps/feral, BUT...
doesn't this just make things way, way worse for pvp healing? I mean, really, they are just digging a way bigger hole for the pvp healer schizm that is occuring (minus holy pallies with their ridiculous hps/hpm)?
Are they making HoT's crit for 100% as well?

I am so dissapointed by the Barkskin glyph. Thats like the most stupid thing i ever saw. If Blizzard wants to act like its a balance druid defensive ability that helps to AoE grind, okay, but then they should fricking stop putting Barkskin bonuses on Feral T7, and making it look like Barkskin is intended to be a tanking cooldown matching Icebound Fortitude, Shield Wall, Divine Shield, and Divine Protection. Now i bet when the other tanks get these abilities glyphed, they are actually gonna get tanking advantages. :-/
Anyway, is that really an actual Blizzard item description? :-/
Glyph of Barkskin *new* -- Reduces the chance you'll be critically hit by melee attacks by 1 to 0% while Barkskin is active.
When did they start to use "by 1% to 0%", duh, i thought they would use something like "by up to 1%". Putting that 0% into it makes it sound silly as hell :D
Oh well. DUMB GLYPH I DONT NEED CRIT REDUCTION :(
Sad bear is sad :(
Gimme glyph of lacerate NOW.

Well yeah. But it could still be some little handy tanking bonus like: "further reduces damage by 2-5%", or "your barkskin also reduces spell damage by 5%", or "your barkskin now generates 10 rage", or something. Not the best ideas i know, but duuuh -1% crit chance? :-/

But barkskin already has the fastest cooldown of the compareable talents does it not?Death Knights are the champions of damage reduction cooldowns:
Icebound Fortitude
, with
Guile of Gorefiend
, the
4xTier7 Bonus
and 540 defense skill grants 35% damage reduction (versus 20% for Barksin) for 21 seconds (versus 15 for Barksin with 4xTier7), ready every minute.
Unbreakable Armor
with its
Glyph
grants 40% more armor (that means about 42000-43000 armor for a top geared tank), +10% strength and +5% parry for 20 seconds, ready every minute.
I guess I don't have to go through all the other
defenseive
cooldowns
they have that are on a 1 minute or lower cool down T_T ... Or the superb
Lichborne
, on a 3 minutes CD, like Survival Instincts. With this ability and Unbreakable Armor plus Blade Barrier active, a Death Knight decked in ilvl 213 tanking epixx can reach 100% avoidance. Which TOTALLY beats Bear 'oh cr
a
p!' abilities (Survival Instincts + Barkskin + Frenzied Regeneration).
I am frightened and ashamed to say it but... but... I am beginning to enjoy my DK alt quite a lot for tanking purposes >.< methinks that if Bears are not well balanced when 3.1 arrives, I shall switch focus only to Pussy Cat for raiding - and a tank alternate spec for heroic dungeons and 10 man raid emblem farming.
Cenarius help us T_T

I see your line of reasoning and of feeling. Its mine as well. But unfortunately, winning the race depends on the game developers quite heavily. And I hope they'll bring a properly tuned Bear mechanic when 3.1 arrives.
