Yes. Long story short, I'm moving out as soon as possible.
That's rough. At least you are making necessary changes.

I got my girlfriend hooked to Don't Starve and Dungeons of Dredmor.
Also, Torment is going to be amazing. I'm gonna be saying this a lot.

So an IRL friend just got a job at Blizzard. He says he's going to be working on the battle.net team. whatever that means.
Kinda wish I could go work at Blizzard, but I doubt I have the necessary skills to do so.

What's it take exactly? Even if you don't work on the software side, they still need people to represent them properly over the phone and to answer tickets.

Ditto - it's definitely for the best!
Yesterday it was a balmy 40 degrees, with a high of 55. This morning it started out at 18 and it's only suppsed to get up to 25. I hate ND weather sometimes :(

I worked with a bunch of ladies, when I worked in Sheriff's dispatch. We would take phone calls all day long, and the one thing that would get on their nerves, of all things, was being called "hon". The caller could scream obscenities at them, or threaten, or die, and it was no big deal. But, if some dude called them "hon", they hated it. When I asked why, it was something about being patronized. I never really understood it, but I guess it bothers some people. I never called anyone "hon", but now I never will after learning how some people hate it.

It's the same as white people and the N word. Girls can call each other 'hon' all they like without it being patronising, because there isn't an element of sexism between them.

Hon is also a term of familiarity. I would not call someone in a professional setting hon, and I would not call a stranger hon. I would call someone who I considered a friend, who I'd spent time talking with about serious life issues and feel that I have an established relationship with hon. I didn't call Mila hon because I am a woman and so I get a gender-based pass. I called her hon because she is my friend, and I also call my sister and my best friends hon.
I think a similar thing would be if you were interacting on a professional level with someone, and they called you "Sweetheart," you'd likely be annoyed, but if your mother or husband called you that it would be fine. When someone uses a term of endearment in a non-endearing way, it's sarcastic. If you use a term reserved for people who you have an actual connection to, it's presumptuous.
If Mila feels that I have been presumptuous in calling her a friend I apologize. If anyone else does, I wonder what the thought process is when one person is comforting another who has been assaulted, and all a third person can think of is to take objection to the use of a term of endearment in that interaction. It seems rather callous to take that specific opportunity to discuss whether or not one gender has been slighted by social intricacies surrounding such words.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

I don't like it when strangers call me 'hon' or 'honey' or 'darling.' Those are names I feel like are specifically for close family or friends.
Edit: I should clarify that the majority of you guys on the forum I am comfortable with and can call me whatever you want :3

On a different note, I finally started playing my warlock this weekend, and it's fabulous. I haven't had another class besides hunter that I felt a great urge to raid on, and I've leveled a couple of them. I'd really like to gear and raid on my warlock when she's leveled though. While it might have something to do with how well her transmog is coming out, and I love the pets, it't mostly just because I find the rotation- especially the AOE rotation- and the resource mechanics for Destro to be really fun.
