^ Read the Quran? Sex with slaves that the right hand possesses is not a very feminist ideal :p.
Was I not nice? It's my intention to be nice, but I suppose I don't always achieve that.
I was just imagining what a polite teenage Swedish pope would say, probably should have used quotation marks.
Also, I hate Diplo. Everything he touches turns into audio gold, but with a heap of misogynistic lyrics and music videos.

So what have the catholic extremists been doing lately? The only news I watch is The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, and I only watch them because they give a good laugh, so I'm not all that up to date with what's going on. (Mainly because whatever you watch is swayed to one side or the other.)
The one story I do know is of republicans in Arizona that are wanting to not let athiests graduate high school. Forcing them to agree to some oath, like most politicians take (but rarely uphold) when they go into office. But that's not just Catholics, but some religious old men on that side of the party.

Good Morning guys!
I'm going to start playing LOL and i want to create a good character, if anyone here knows, please tell me.
And i need to create a new account for the Lolking website?
You can open an account here.
There is no such thing as a "good character" per se, as you'll soon see.
And no, but you should anyways.
wow, talk about dedication.
Text editing ain't that hard. I'd be extremely impressed if he changed the character sprite though. Still...impressive.

Read the bible? its not really a paragon of feminism either. David had like a billion concubines, the whole concept of Polygamy was the norm on the ancient testament. Females committing adultery were executed on the street by an angry mob, while males committing adultery received far less punitive retribution.
And that's just one out of MANY cases of chauvinism in the bible. I'm not sayign that the bible is evil, mind you, I'm a devoted christian myself, just saying that the Quran and Bible can't really point to each other and accuse one of something, because both books have their share of ugly. The bible (Specially the ancient testament) has incest, polygamy, genocide (See the 10 plagues of egypt) Infanticide, ect. The quran also has its ugly parts. These are books written in a less civilized age, that's to be expected.
So what have the catholic extremists been doing lately? The only news I watch is The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, and I only watch them because they give a good laugh, so I'm not all that up to date with what's going on. (Mainly because whatever you watch is swayed to one side or the other.)

You misunderstand my point.
Excluding cults and scams, most religions are benevolent, and promote noble ideals like pacifism, meditation, self-improvement, prayer, ect ect. Sure, EVERY religion has their whackjobs here and there, but the crazies of most religions are either ignored altogether, or glossed over.
But extremists of the Islam are portrayed by the media as a large majority, and all their barbarism is broadcasted 24/7 in movies, games, books, ect.
9 out of 10 times when you see a movie about terrorists, the bad guys are Islamic. When was the last time you saw a movie where the terrorists were members of the Ku Klux Klan? (I'm sure there are a few such movies, but compare those, with the number of movies about islamic extremist and there is a clear difference in numbers).
When was the last time we saw a movie with evil hindu? Evil Shinto? Evil Buddhists? Evil Kabbalah? Evil Jews? Evil russian orthodox chatolics? Evil Rastafari? Evil Kurdish?
I'm sure there are SOME portrays in the media (Both Real Life reports, and works of fiction such as books, movies and games) that depict SOME members of these religions as evil, but their numbers, compared to the unfavorable portrayals of Islam is really small. Its almost like the media would like us to believe that most islamic people are extremist fanatics with towels on the head saying "
DEATH TO AMERIKA ALALALALALALALALALALALA! /BOMB-EXPLODES
"
When in reality, those crazy bastards don't even represent 5% of the islamic believers. In a religion with an estimated membership of 1.5 billion believers. That's 23% of the total earth's population. And the media would like you to believe that most of them are crazy and dangerous and need to be put down.

The issue, as I see it, is there are major differences between the
current
extremes of both religions.
Current radical Islam is waging all out war against Christains (or the West). They are doing this by literally whatever means necessary, up to, and including using children as homicide bombers. They attack indiscriminately against non-military targets using barbaric methods, and their "victories" are often celebrated very openly by, not just the extreme radicals, but by very large groups of followers.
Extreme Christian groups are mostly just hate speech, or targeted violence, usually against individuals or small groups. While it is ugly, disgusting, and revolting...I have a hard time comparing indiscriminately bombing a subway train, or hijacking airplanes and plowing them into buildings to be considered on par with preaching hate or even beating up a guy just because he is of Arab descent. The closest thing you can even find to compare to radical Muslim activism is with abortion clinic bombers, and even then, at least their targets are what you could consider an "active" enemy. Not to mention, we have these types of incidents maybe once every year or two, compared to the seemingly daily bombings by the radical Muslims.
There is also a huge difference in the way the mainstream, non-radical members of Christianity and Islam react to the idiots in each of their respected religions. You would be hard pressed to find a "normal" Christian that even acknowledges, let alone celebrates, a group like Westboro. (heck, I refuse to even call them a "church"). On the other hand, you rarely see a prominent outcry from "normal" Muslims against their radical sects.
Look, if my personal Pastor started threatening to bomb an abortion clinic, let alone actually did do something that extreme, I can guarantee you that every member of my church including me, would be rushing to turn him over to the cops. But the opposite is not true. There has to be plenty of people that know about radical Islamic groups, and yet, they sit idly by, and proclaim that "those people" do not represent their beliefs.
If the "95%" of peaceful Islamic people really want their beliefs respected, they should flush out the "5%" that are causing the problems.

It uses your ZAM email to log in. You do not need to make a new one.
HOWEVER, you can link your summoner to the account, and you absolutely should.

Its funny how quickly the extremist side of the islam is portrayed in media, but the most extremist side of catholicism and the many other religions is glossed over.
Did you miss the entire pedophilia scandal that saturated the news for months and has lingered for years? And not a peep about the 98.6 BILLION that the Catholic Church spent on healthcare alone in 2010.
What is actually funny, is how you cannot speak ill of Islam, without attaching a culturally sensitive disclaimer about how "not all Muslims are like that". However, if you want to point out the Catholic Church's pedo problem, you don't need to point out that "not all Catholics molest boys". Sure, it is obvious that not all Catholics do, and it is also obvious that not all Muslims are violent. Both of those facts are obvious, but we only feel compelled, as a society, to put our sensitivity disclaimer on the Muslim violence. Why? It irritates me, but I think people explain that "not all Muslims are like that", to make themselves appear culturally enlightened, tolerant, and sensitive. When you are aware of the fact that the people who do this are stating a glaringly obvious fact, well known by nearly everyone, simply to aggrandize their own sensitivities, then it becomes more distasteful than someone who was uniformed of the fact in the first place. What is doubly irritating, is when you cannot have an honest discussion about the problem of violence in Muslim communities with someone, because the ONLY drumbeat they know is "they aren't all like that". That is their reply to EVER single critical analysis of anyone Muslim.
Look at me. Look how sensitive I am. If you aren't like me, you aren't sensitive, and that makes you a bigot. This is the new religion of the world, fighting the idea of insensitivity. Being indignant is the new way of praying. The new Church is society. This is how people measure their morality, by being more "tolerant" or "cultural" than the next person, and pointing it out.

Maybe because in just about every work of fiction you can name where they show up prominently, they're portrayed as bad guys?
Again, I ask of you to name-drop at least 10 recent works of fiction (Movies, games, or books) with terrorists or extremist villains that are religious-driven zealots but NOT muslims. (fake religions don't really count, ya know, cuz if we think about it Final Fantasy X has the yu-yevon church which is completely fake)
Go on, I'll wait.
