@rank- Most of the sessions are about 45 min to an hour. I was in rehab for about 6 months, but it took almost 2 years to get rid of the noticeable limp on a daily basis. The weather still causes me to limp sometimes when there is a low pressure front coming through.
I'm not going to lie....it hurts. But if they give you exercises to do pre-surgery, that makes it a little easier. Most of the time, when they give you pre-surgery exercises, it is to build the muscles up around the area so that it heals quicker and needs less rehab. I learned the hard way after not doing them when I had the first surgery.
It really sucks that your job threw you under the bus like that, but it just means that it is a company you do not want to work for...if they would do it now, and you work as hard as it sounds like you do, they would do it 5 years down the line.
Edit:
Don't judge me Interest...just go along with it and dance...

I see. Were you able to walk only after those 6 months? or you could walk (even with some difficulty) in the meantime?
I'm hoping I'm not down that long (since its only one surgery on one knee, rather than multiple ones in both.) I'm a very hyperactive and energetic person, and inactivity drives me insane >_> I need something to keep me busy. There's nothing worse than having a ton of energy inside, and no way to burn it off.
And you're right about the restaurant, their loss, I'm a very devoted worker, I never half-ass anything, and I'm dedicated to my craft, plus I put A LOT of passion into
everything
I do, be it cooking, playing, or even reading, which is part of the reason my meals are so good. They're not gonna find that every day. Plus if this is what I can expect from them from a relatively non-life-threatening injury, what could I expect if I suffer a heavier loss in there? (Works in a kitchen have many hazards, and they don't really treat their employees with respect, my boss was an animal)

@Rank
I think I was walking around with crutches after a week or two, and then on a cane after 3 weeks but not for long stretches. Been a few years...I know my buddy just had full replacement and he was being made to walk within 6 hours. So technology has greatly changed.
Edit:
At EluraE...can I be the royal smartass?

I don't think it would matter much what you did. I mean, from my understanding, Catholicism isn't rooted in strict Biblical accuracy, and has made itself into a more modern, sensitive, and trendy group of people in hopes of attracting members. I predict when the next religious age comes along, and people begin to insist on Biblical accuracy, Catholicism will suffer a tremendous blow for its desire to bend to the whims of popular opinions. Putting a female at their head, a teenager, would be the nail in the coffin.
Essentially what I'm saying is that I don't think Catholicism, in its essence, is an accurate and true form of Christianity, and that I think you would be its demise, simply because of who you are, not what you would actually do.
Or, am I looking to far into this?
You do realize this whole 'not sticking accurately to the teachings of Christ' thing is basically what Martin Luther and John Calvin were saying back in the XVIth century when they founded Protestantism, right?

I don't understand what that has to do with me.

whats TeamLiquid?
This
is TeamLiquid. It's a site based around Starcraft II and DoTA 2 - especially on the competitive scenes, also known as "e-Sport". I don't know how much you know about these things, but Teamliquid is essentially the biggest "foreign" (Western) news site. No pay at this stage, but it's still pretty cool
:)

"Did we just argue? I can't remember."
The start of a great relationship <3
lol, indeed. Who's that? the dateguy?
And rank I hope everything works out well. I don't really use my legs maybe I should donate them to you? Heheh, you'd have short skinny girly legs.
Hmm, I don't mind the girl leg part, but would they support my weight? I'm a fairly heavy guy, over 98 kilos.
Their loss for firing you, even if you couldn't cook I don't know anyone with as much passion as you have!
Damn Straight! its a blessing and a curse though, I've gotten into a few problems here in wowhead due to how much passion I put into EVERYTHING. Its also why I do my best to stay away from volatile topics that require a more cool-headed and serene approach.
When I live in my rightful kingdom you can be my chef?
Yes I can, but I'll have a few demands. The first one, that I have a legion of gnomes to do my bidding, a full kitchen brigade dressed in Wookie costumes, golden-plated kitchen utensils, and a black Chef Jacket that has the horde insignia on the back, and the N7 icon from Mass Effect on the front. It must come with an incorporated retractable hoodie, and must have my name in gold embroidery saying "Chef Commander David Villalobos." If you could provide one of your lesser tiaras for my wife to wear once in a while, and a smaller one for my little girl, that'd be awesome too.
if you can provide all of those, I can make you meals that will make you quiver with joy with every bite.
