I would think with the short draw back of a crossbow that it wouldn't to able to kill a deer. I know they'll gophers and @#$%, but I've never tried a deer. My dads normal bow he made is ~185 pound pull back, and has dropped many a deer. I would think you'd have to be pretty close and a pretty good shot with a crossbow to make sure the animals dies and not just suffer (unless you're killing rabbits or *!@# like that, then you just make to make sure you can hit it).
Ahem. A bow with a 185 pound pull back. I am afraid you kinda overestimated the number, by a lot. A reasonably strong man can pull from 50 to 70 lbs safely. 70-100 pound bows are for really strong and skilled archers. 100+ pound bows are used by warbow enthusiasts, who are extremely muscular and exceptionally skilled (on the latest meeting of warbow enthusiasts from all over the Europe, held in Czech Republic, the strongest bow used was 135 lbs.). The strongest longbows in recorded history were 185 pounds, and there are very few people capable of using them.
Standard hunting bows have to be 50+

No problem. I have a bunch from Donny in my e-mail too, so I should have fodder for a while. I have my own question to use for tomorrow, though.

Bought 2 games today. Borderlands 2 and I keep forgetting the name of the other one, but I think it's called Dark Souls - Drop Dead Edition. Currently installing Steam. The wet season is coming up in a couple of months and depending on the year, I could be in for 90 days straight of torrential rain, so I'll need something to keep me entertained.
Also,
here's
a pretty photo I took last week.

We could try to play a bit of coop in Borderlands 2 if the ping doesn't end up being insane and if we ever end up with spare time simultaneously (that will be the hardest part I think).

The ping would probably be ridiculous too. Not because of the distance though. Because of the poor quality internet here.
When I was living a few km from the Brisbane CBD, I was playing WoW with less than 250ms without using Leatrix - pretty good considering my server is based in Boston on the USA east coast. The internet here, by comparison, is quite pathetic. Happens when you live in a country where the major cities are 500-1000km apart.
I guess I can try the game in online mode and see how the performance is, and if it's any good we can then worry about trying to find simultaneous free time.

Why get back into it?
Because I still love WoW? And because I had a blast while playing it on Beta.

It's funny because some people who do beta don't enjoy live much (since they already experienced the content).
