Mytie, I think
this
is the underlying issue. God knows I've fallen for that countless times before.
rank, I've never typed so much, only to delete it. For the past day or so I've just been typing, editing, editing, editing, and finally just deleting. I find that I am unable to communicate what it is I want to communicate. After years of posting my opinions here, I am not allowed to post them if there is a chance someone will react to them. Someone always reacts to my opinions.
Opinions can always be expressed in non-abrasive ways, you just need to readjust to that, and you WILL be able to debate without rubbing people off the wrong way.
Even in disagreement there can still be respect between debaters.

Post the opinions, but don't flame and troll; really that simple.

How about we try something fluffier and more fun.

I believe the issue is that people feel that MyTie is being disrespectful, while he is not trying to. To draw a comparison, I know a girl who curses a whole lot. And I mean, like in "Every ************ I need to do this ******* **** just to *******" - a lot. People ask her not to, and she responds that is how she talks. People don't like that, people get mad over it, but ultimately it won't change. Think about the situation like that; MyTie isn't consciously trying to offend anyone, nor is he intending to be disrespectful - at least that's not the impression I've gotten over the last several months, but he comes off as such because it is how he debates.
I do not believe the fault lies only with any one side in this - but like stated earlier, that discussion is not appropriate here.

But there are places and situations where that simply isn't appropriate. If she were looking after some children in a nursery she would be asked to leave (just as a simple example). It's fine for her to behave like that (and outside of this forum I rather relish in "bad language" myself so I'm making no judgement) but it restricts the activities in which she's able to take part.(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

I think balance in all things is wise. If you are only concerned with what others think, you are not your own person. If you are never concerned with what others think (in terms of rudeness, vulgarity, condescension, etc.) then you are refusing to recognize society's mutually agreed upon ideals of being civil, polite and thinking of the group as well as the individual, and will as a result be less accepted in society. It is not wrong to expect people to be respectful or polite in public and general discussion. It is not wrong to protect ourselves from negativity. People have the right to say whatever they want, but we have the right to refuse to associate with people who do not show respect to others.

Hehe, you know it!
He sent me a postcard from España with the message formatted like a forum report ^_^
(though he still said "soccer" on the postcard proving that you can take the boy out of America but you can't take America out of the boy).
