I miss the old days. The normal Paladin days =
If by some random chance I pass by Sweden at some point, I'll try to look up svirve and catch up with him.
Phsss, svirve is whatever, I miss Quest.
Anyways, bed time, work in 5 hours, up in 4 -_-

LOL.
People are so obsessed with seeing SOME MMO to kill wow "ASAP" like RIGHT NOW DAMMIT! Like, its released, and within a week, wow is a barren wasteland.
As soon as any new MMO is released, they all latch onto it, and hail it as the new "Wow-killer". Then when said MMO doesn't just kills wow in a single swipe, they automatically call it a failure, yell to the four winds that the game is dead, and immidietly latch onto a new MMO to continue to rage.
/tsk tsk tsk.
For over 3 years I've heard SO MUCH how SWTOR was gonna be THE wow killer, now that the smoke cleared, suddenly those same people, the very same who mere 6 months ago were praising it as if it was the second comming, now claim it sucks, and that its GW2 that will be Wow's coffin nail.
this is embarrasing. :S its like, MMOs can't be judged on their own merits, or if they're fun or not. All these idiots care about is that it kills wow. If it doesn't, it sucks. And if it does.................................... I'm guessing they'd go into a manic-depressive state since they'd have nothing else to rant about.
Browsing through the official forums of SWTOR all I see is "this game is dead" and "Can't wait for GW2". There was this user (of course I wont name him) who had the exact same name on the blizz forums.
That same user was praising SWTOR, to the point he would not SHUT UP about it, and when its release date was announced, he boldly claimed "I bet people are sh1tting bricks at blizz". That same dude, is now bashing the game he had latched on.
Its this same cycle, repeating itself over and over, and denying some good MMOs their chance to shine because apparently, not killing wow is a major crime. Games like Rift, swtor, tera, ect aren't being meassured by their innovation, or simply their fun-factor. =( that just sucks. It speaks ill for the future of this genre, when people are so sickly obsessed over seeing wow die, or seeing the would-be-killers die if they fail.
which is why I loved this post I saw a few minutes ago:
(BTW this post was about the fact that in a week, EA is gonna report their quarter subscribers numbers, and sadly, yes, its the same as blizzard, automatically, game bashers, and game fanatics alike are at each other's throats, over something as stupid as how many players are actually playing the game)
Why do you guys even freaking care?
SUB NUMBERS GO UP
The people who love the game are going to say "cool" and go about their business.
The people who hate the game are going to grab tinfoil hats, call BioWare liars and say how now 3 reports in a row they are giving false numbers and how they have a friend who has a friend's friend who plays and there are less people on his Fleet so no one is playing the game and ZOMG we need Recount and Pandas and SWTOR sucks.
SUB NUMBERS GO DOWN
The people who love the game are going to say "it doesn't matter if SWTOR is losing or gaining because I love the game and the game is profitable with 500k subs and blah blah blah..." and they are right. And they will go about their business.
The people who want to slam on the game are going to grab tinfoil hats, call BioWare liars and say how now 3 reports in a row they are giving false numbers (because even though SWTOR lost numbers, it's MUCH MUCH worse than they are telling you) and how they have a friend who has a friend's friend who plays and there are less people on his Fleet so no one is playing the game and ZOMG we need Recount and Pandas and SWTOR sucks.
Point being - the people who like the game will continue to play. The people who don't are going to continue to @#$%^ and moan ad nauseum when they have much better things to do with their time than trolling a message board.
The sad part is that this is a cycle doomed to repeat itself. GW2 is gonna be released soon, I have no doubts its gonna be a great game, a fun game, it will succeed, but it wont kill wow either, and because of that, within 2 to 3 months after GW2 is out, automatically, the haters will deem it a failure and clamor for its death too. Then latch onto the next "big new wow-killer" and repeat it all over again.
When will it end? T_T

I like SWTOR, at least, thus far, but I'm not going to buy into the game vs game drama.

I want to get back to my Star Wars characters, but I'm having way too much fun with Skyrim. The way the civil war went with me backing the Stormcloaks kind of left a sour taste in my mouth- I had displaced the only two Jarls who I thought were worth anything, I was worried about the oppression in Windhelm for all the non-nords, and when we won the general was telling us that this was exactly what the Thalmor wanted- and I believed it. I just replayed the civil war, as an Imperial, and I had a much better feeling about it. I still want to kill all the Thalmor, but I think that this is the better way to prepare for that.

Well I like it too (ahhh who am I kidding? I LOVE THE DAMN GAME!) but I find it shameful that people seem incapable of just sitting back and enjoying an MMORPG.
No, having fun is NOT ALLOWED. When an MMO is launched, its automatically tossed into the pissing contest over which game has the largest D1ck. When all the other games simply DON'T have the same scale of success that wow has (come on, love it or hate it, it is THE most successful game of this genre, regardless of whether it deserves that success or not) it devolves into fights.
Its almost like there was a line at the EULA on each MMO that said "thou shalth not playeth any other MMO" (yes, sorry for the butchered "old english" XD)
Can't just people learn to enjoy games and stop trying to see which game will kill which? Jeez.
Tera launched today (if I'm not mistaken) and I gotta admit, it has a greatly innovative combat system, nice visuals, appealing art style, and compelling gameplay. Just about everything a good game needs to hold on its own. But because it wont kill wow, (come on people, only blizzard can kill wow. Cataclysm came dangerously close, specially during patch 4.1 that added nothing to the game) it wont be long before any forum about tera, and any video about tera, and any discussion about tera, is gonna be filled by whiny brats complaining.
This is a cycle that is sadly spelling doom to repeat itself. When will games stop being compared to wow and just be judged by their own awesomeness? I'd love to see that day. Sadly, I can't seem to find a single review of SWTOR that doesn't compares the game to wow, and the pattern seems to apply to all others in the genre =(
so not cool.

There are green-level resource nodes throughout the world that you gather yourself, and these are necessary to make crafting worthwhile (you can do missions for them too, but it's not worth the money).
The rest is done by companions- you can have 5 running at once at max level- and each person can do one mission of craft a queue of 5 items- and you can send them out and they'll run them while you're logged off.

Yup. His
