I have some pasta, some peanut butter and some lettuce.
I was thinking about getting some kidney beans to put on the pasta, but then I'd want to make kidney bean fajitas with the lettuce... but I can't make peanut butter and banana sandwiches with fajita wraps.
Is there some form of bread that tastes good with kidney beans and lettuce as well as peanut butter and banana?

Okay, foodish question here too.
If I were to defrost some meat and then cook a meal with it or whatever, could I then re-freeze the leftovers? I know you can't re-freeze frozen goods if they're raw, but I'm just wondering about if they were cooked.

That's fine- you can do that.

I
think
I've done that a few times, but you should probably check with someone who knows their way around a kitchen. I know it works with minced meat, but I guess it doesn't necessarily work the same way with entire freaking slabs of meat.

The reason you're not supposed to defrost and re-freeze food, is that generally when you defrost you're bringing the food down to a temperature that allows bacteria to grow. Freezing doesn't kill it- it just stops growth. So, when you defrost it a second time you essentially have food that has twice as much time for bacteria to grow, and they grow exponentially. Even when you cook it after, the bacteria have still had time to partially digest the food and release the byproduct which can make you sick even if the bacteria are dead.
In this case you'd defrost it, cook it immediately, and the freeze it again, so no double jeopardy on the bacteria.
So, ah, yeah. Go ahead and enjoy that meal. Bet it sounds yummy now ;)
