Watching a plastic surgery show cause I'm a sadist or something. I'm so close to throwing up.
I once saw on a dare a documental about the Papues of New Guinea, a tribe that openly practices cannibalism.
After seeing that, nothing and I do mean NOTHING fazes me anymore =( I think a part of me died when I saw that darned thing.
After that, seeing plastic surgery shows, actual footage of brain surgery, the movie "hostel 2" (Which is nothing more than 90 minutes of people being tortured in the most gorniest ways possible) and Saw 3D, didn't even made me flinch.
High contrast too, since when I was 9 I saw "nightmare on Elm Street" (Scary as f*bleep*k but very little actual blood shown) and I threw up.............. twice.

If you're a real masochist, I hear that "Human Centipede" is a terrible, terrible movie that should never have been made. I've heard just enough to know that I never want to see it, despite the fact that I love all things horror.

Horror or torture/gore porn? I prefer the former and hate that the latter is an actual trend.

Usually things don't phase me, but seeing someone elses boob get cut open kind of hurts my boobs. <.<
I don't like it when people get their eyes cut in movies either, hurts my eyes.
I actually like watching gore, 90% of the latest movie I've seen have been gore.
^ Reason why I do not like watching movies where a guy gets kicked in the nuts. It hurts.

Horror, really. Monster and Zombie movies specifically- I'm not a huge fan of slasher pics, either, unless there is something more-than-human going on- mutants, plague, aliens, magic, etc. But in particular, I'd have to agree that the "torture porn" phenomenon is kind of disturbing. When I saw Hostel, it kind of disturbed me. Same thing with "The Devil's Rejects." They were less about, like, suspense and survival and everything else I like about horror, and more about finding the most graphic displays of torture and abuse that they could put on screen. I nearly walked out of the Devil's Rejects at the theater, actually, but I wasn't the one who drove.

Well, Devil's Reject's and House of a 1000 Corpses were made and directed by Rob Zombie.
And I remember back during OAC Biology, for a final project, a girl who worked at a vet's brought in a video about spaying a dog....let's just say, I spent most of her presentation with my head on the desk, not watching as some dog got his nuts chopped off....and the Transformation of Mr Garrison on South Park wasn't much better, where they spliced in real footage of a gender reassignment surgery.

Hi everyone,
I just stopped in to say hi and introduce myself, which really I've done on my profile page so there's no need to repeat it.
I've lurked on Wowhead for several years and found it so useful for questing, and then I realized I could, like,
contribute
and give back, given my obsessive screenshot-taking and what I've learned along the way. So, I signed up, and here I am. I wish I'd been contributing all along for the last three years, but oh well!
Oh, and:
Animal Farm is an excellent read. Absolutely!

It's nice to find someone else out there that feels the same. :D
And welcome, dayoodin!

how would it feel to see someone else's boob get cut open ,and then eaten? :S yes that gross (among other REALLY disturbing things) happened on that documental about the Papues of New Guinea. Even more disturbing is that it wasn't a movie, that wasn't makeup and special effects. That crap was real.
Hence why I've made a point of NEVER seeing documentals of anything except happy magical places of sugar and rainbows.
Horror or torture/gore porn? I prefer the former and hate that the latter is an actual trend.
I like horror movies, but lately it seems movie-makers seem to think that "blood and gore = Scary"
that is simply not true.
Saw 1 was actually cool, Saw 3D was just people getting mangled and butchered left and right without an ounce of horror on it.
I hear that "Human Centipede" is a terrible, terrible movie that should never have been made.
ohh hell no, I already regretted deeply having to watch that documental on a dare, I'm not gonna make the same mistake twice. If you say that's a horrible movie that is so disturbing it shouldn't had been made, that's more than enough for me to steer away from it.
Horror, really. Monster and Zombie movies specifically mutants, plague, aliens, magic, etc.
these are classics that sadly aren't produced anymore. Moviemakers ran out of ideas, and now their concept of scaring the audience is this:
They were less about, like, suspense and survival and everything else I like about horror, and more about finding the most graphic displays of torture and abuse that they could put on screen.
sadly this is what the horror genre has been reduced to.
Put hundreds of gallons of blood on it, and expect people to be scared. Pfft, the day red-dyed corn syrup scares me, I'll know something is really wrong with my head.
I'm not a huge fan of slasher pics
strangely enough, I am kinda fond of slasher flicks, as long as they're done decently.
Friday 13, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, Alien (yes, this one does counts as a slasher flick, but only the first movie) and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original, not remakes) are quite good movies.
I even saw a recent Slasher movie, that is a "mockumentary/parody" of the slasher genre and its BRILLIANT.
That movie is Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon.
Fully recommend that movie to everyone. It even manages to be a little scary at the end.
Well, Devil's Reject's and House of a 1000 Corpses were made and directed by Rob Zombie.

Funny, I've never had much problem watching real medical interventions on people or animals, as long as it serves a purpose.
Like I said, I once saw on Discovery a full step by step brain surgery.
This included someone's scalp being cut open, then 4 holes drilled into his skull, then a square-shaped section of his skull cut open, then parts of his brain being sliced off, then the skull being closed back. Here's the kicker: The patient had to be fully awaken the entire time.
I did almost cried for him though because it was a 14 year old boy =(, but thankfully he survived the operation and made a full recovery of his tumor.

Well, one of my friends keeps sending me links. Every. Single. Day.
I get that not everyone is turned on by the same things, and that's perfectly fine with me.
But that... that stuff is just.. there's really no way to describe it.

I've seen the Human Centipede. It was exactly like what I expected it to be and I didn't understand what the Japanese guy was saying, which disappointed me since I had just finished all levels of Rosetta Stone.
Oh, my manager told me to give two hand warmers to a girl in the shop. In his words "there's a black girl in the shop... I know you like black girls, I can read you" (he's black). She said that they were too small, which I reported to him and he didn't even bother to make the obvious joke.
