Best birthday in a long time \o/
How's everyone today?
Happy birthday. What did you do?
Thanks guys
:)
My girlfriend gave me two tickets to a concert, I finally beat the club-record on 400m freestyle on the last swimming competition of the season and afterwards a few good friends of mine took me to a comedy show that was some of the most hilarious stuff I've ever been to and well... Good stuff in general.
And Adams, no, my birthday is today - but I think the timezones might be messing up on your end, heh ^^

The HOSTNAME for the selected server could not be resolved to an IP address. The hostname was either entered incorrectly or the DNS servers for the specified domain might be offline. Yeah, it's confusing. :s The hostname being the one in your
username
user profile.
Hostname = IP.
Put in tx1.ugt-servers.com
Should work fine.

And I may be a villian, but I try to not be a jerk. *!@#ing Magneto, how does he work?
Because he's a *sunglasses* chick magnet.
Edit: That was the hostname I had. Still not working. :|

Because he's a *sunglasses* chick magnet.Mags is awesome; but only sometimes...like when he has the power to control the iron in a person's blood.

Upon showing my father the trailer for Captain America on my brother’s iPad he made a face. The idea of a man having the force to make a shield do what Cap does isn’t scientifically possible and Dad’s not having it.
“Do you know how heavy that thing would weigh, if it can take that much damage and still be in one piece?” He asked.
So we explained the concept of Vibranium to him. And he thought about it.
“If it absorbs all impacts, how can it bounce off a wall at all? Wouldn’t it absorb the impact of hitting the wall and fall to the ground like a rock?”
He makes a great point.

Capt is the ultimate super soldier and does things no man can duplicate; very few others ever manage to bounce his shield like he does heh.

I believe it was a vibranium/iron alloy. So I assume that's why things bounce off of it, and don't just stop.

But if it absorbs the kinetic energy of impacts and dissipates it, then his dad's right - if it stops bullets, it should also stop dead against a wall.

This is the same universe where Wolverine has been reduced to a literal skeleton and still grew back......are we really complaining about the ricochet factor of Cap's shield lol?

Scott's dad does like to point such things out :D

The bullets bounce off though, not just stop, at least in the comics and from what I remember from the film. I believe that's due to it not being pure vibranium.

He needs to remember these are Marvel comic movies where physics take a back seat to psychotic man child's who can write the universe with barely a thought, living island monsters, and many many many other creatures all exist....that said, would love to see a movie about the
Cancerverse
/Thanos Imperative series, either as an animated special or as an actual live action movie.
