OK I need help form someone who knows British English.... I was told that what American cookies are called biscuits in England. My question is what is a American biscuit then?
They are also called biscuits, I think. Post a picture of an American biscuit.

Those aren't biscuits, those are scones.
"Round-shaped British scones can resemble North American biscuits in appearance, but scones rely on cold butter for their delicate, flaky texture, while biscuits are more often made with animal fat or vegetable shortening and are crumbly rather than flaky. Also, while scones are served with coffee and tea or as a dessert, biscuits are served more as a bread, often with breakfast."
I swear this isn't the first time the biscuit/scone distinction has been brought up here.

I'm sorry, hyperspacerebel, I haven't upgraded my monitor to the point I can feel texture through it. Perhaps if you were to lend me a buck?

Why do you turn everything I say into hostility?
Edanthehunter asked a question, and I was trying to provide enough information for you to answer it, seeing as I have no idea what the answer is.
