This still doesn't magically make it so that you're an expert on all subjects and are capable of teaching advanced high school courses.

Things change in middle school... especially in high school when students are expected to take honors and AP courses in order to get accepted into colleges.
The Wall Street Journal:
Many colleges now routinely accept homeschooled students, who typically present “portfolios” of their work instead of transcripts.

How does that make the student any more prepared for college? People don't just take honors and AP courses for fun, they take them to prepare for higher levels of education.

I never claimed that I was an expert in all cases. I don't use myself as the sole source of teaching, or even my wife. We utilize the school district, including other teachers, as well as the entire school cirriculum, labs, libraries, study halls, etc. Homeschooling, when done properly, takes into account many many things. I don't HAVE to have a masters degree in order to be effecive. It is possible without one. That is my only claim.
