Of course you did, it's not like you're blind.
Ah, but see, you're equivocating on the word
what
. I'm referring to the essence, you merely to the accidents.
Pwned.
You can't
see
the essence.
Owned.

How mature.
I'm no saint.
However, he did get the last word:
There we were, the project on the brink of being trashed. He looked at me, practically crying, begging me for the information he needed to fix the machine. I felt horrible for him, so I told him. He took the information, fixed his mistakes, and fired me.
Now I have no job, and no job prospects, and 4 mouths to feed. My wife doesn't work.
Edit: Not that I'm bothered by this. My wife is surprised by how well I'm taking it...

On what basis did he fire you?

On what basis did he fire you?
A little complicated. He offered me a position and wage that I couldn't accept, and gave me an alternative of resignation.

I'm not making you participate, I'm suggesting it. If you're
that
objected to me making that thread then report it-- an endeavour I hardly find worthwhile. If people don't like the thread it'll get buried and I will not bump it.
Is this really something you find worth whining about? It's music, you should be happy there are now more threads for you to share your choices in.
I did report it. And I find it completely worthwhile. I like seeing what other people are listening too....I don't like having dig up 3 threads to do it.

He offered me shoveling out the chemically hazardous dust heap for 12 hours a day in a full body suit for minimum wage. That's the job the janitors won't do.
Edit: I wish I would have just let him fail... and not felt sorry for him. Then I'd still have a job and he'd be fired.

You don't have to dig up 3 threads. Actually, I doubt you'll ever wonder "what does so-and-so listen to?" and go through
3
1 thread looking for his one post. This is a pretty stupid thing to get angry about... but whatever, it's really no skin off my teeth.
I misunderstand me (as usual); I don't go looking for specific people. I only keep tabs on so many threads. By increasing the amount of threads you're just making it harder for people to actually discuss/share the topic that you are supposedly trying to promote.
I'm not angry, I just don't like when people break rules, especially when it causes inconvenience (however slight) to me.

Not to be offensive, but... isn't it kinda difficult to be a mechanical engineer without a college degree in mechanical engineering? I mean, that's a big credential you're missing and you have considerably less leverage to fight for your position.
If you're that talented maybe you should consider going to college--- you already have a strong base to your studies from your experiences.
I'm not saying you need a college degree to be successful, and I'm not saying everyone who has a college degree is.
I'm not angry, I just don't like when people break rules, especially when it causes inconvenience (however slight) to me.
It's generally considered a virtue to have a tolerance for little things. Are you the kind of person that stresses out really easily?
The objective facts:
The mechanical engineer, with the degree, begged for help because he couldn't understand the problem.
The man without a degree, solved the problem with ease.
The engineer fired the man.
Edit: I'd love to go to college. First, though, I need to feed my family.

The man without a college degree lacks the credentials the man with the degree has, and will have a far more difficult time finding an equivalent job to the one the college graduate holds-- regardless of how much more capable the non-graduate might be.
You can complain about how you knew whatever it was that caused the project's failure in your interviews all you want, but chances are you'll just get a swift kick in the ass.
Edit: Oh, ok... I see your edit. Is there any way you can receive support from your friends and extended family? I know it's rough, but there
are
ways to move forward.
LoL - I'll be fine.
