[Race, Horde] Splinterscale Naga

From memory:
When the Well of Eternity went KABLEWIE! the Highborne elves (like the queen) were /whispered a chance for continued survival and power. And they turned into the naga.
Something like that happened, according to the "War of the ancients"-books. Bad memory is bad.

As the Well of Eternity imploded around them, Queen Azshara struck a deal with the evil Old Gods, transforming her loyal Highborne and herself into the vile Naga. Seconds later, the Well ripped a hole in reality and pulled Azshara and her followers through it. The portal brought them to a new world, and Azshara and her minions immediately began the work of conquering the new world - which they dubbed Nazja'tar, the same name which they would later give to their new capital - and enslaving the native creatures.
Years past, and Azshara's unwavering loyalty to the Old Gods was rewarded with immortality and vast amounts of power - tidbits of which she bestowed upon her loyal servants. Yet, not all of her Naga were so loyal to her, and one Anord Airbender - a young but powerful Battle-Mage - led a rebellion against her. Although Azshara was vastly more powerful, Anord succeded in one thing: Breaking through her defense at the portal that had brought them to Nazja'tar. The rebellious Naga - calling themselves the Splinterscale - set up a capital - Splinterscale Cove - on the island chain that once held the great tomb of Sargeras. Once they had successfully completed their capital, the Splinterscale began to seek allies who would aid them against Azshara and her Naga. Knowing that their Night Elf kin would never accept them, they turned to their next closest relatives - the Blood Elves.
The Blood Elves and Forsaken - who also felt a sense of kin-ship to the Naga through their Queen - pleaded with Thrall to allow them to join the Horde. Although the Warchief was unmoving in his decision not to let them join, he was touched by their wish to end what they saw as a curse that Azshara had put upon them – their new form. At this, he welcomed them into the Horde. Now with new allies, Anord and his followers plan to end their curse, and take revenge on Azshara.
Forsaken don't give a @#$% for living races.
Arthas's dead at this point, I think priorites can change, besides, they want another ally as much as the BLood Elves do.

Playing as Naga? Not gonna happen... Only humanoids are ever going to be considered. And what would we do with pants, boots, and belts? there would be just too much against having Naga as a playable race...
Naga ARE humanoids :p
But idd, not really going to happen as they can't wear pants or boots and meh, the idea of even more races just doesn't appeal to me.
They CAN wear pants and boots, google it (or something) they have a picture of a Naga in teir armor

Not bad. Still vouch for Ogres, though.
Ogre's can't fit into some buildings.

Im sorry but that would be completely against the lore because Naga are loyal to their Empress and to the Old God who transformed them into Naga. And why the hell would forsaken care about naga anyway?Elven forsaken i suppose.
Also for mechanical reason they can't wear pants and can't mount. And i think there is a reason why they didn't give underwater breathing to the undead.

Oh, I've solved the mount probelm:
Either they wrap their tail around the mount completely
Or, they have their tail hanging over one end, then it comes back up and drapes the rest of the way down over the other side. Kind of like riding side-sadle.

Possible Classes:
Warrior, Druid (I'd like to see more druids in-game race wise), Paladin (something to balance them out with the other Horde race, which I hope is pandarian, and their shamman class), Mage, Hunter (If druids, why not hunters?).
Oh, and since it hasn't been brought up yet (at least I don't think it has) the "Unlimited Underwater breath" thing could be countered like so:
If a Naga exceeds the maxximum limit for the Forsaken's underwater breathing, then slowly began to gain a debuff that would cause them to loose their stats, it could be similar to Rez Sickness.

finally a well planned suggestion, and I would LOVE to play a naga!
Thanks, and it goes to show one thing:
I have FAR to much free time.

You are going on my mains friend list!
Look about two posts above yours, and you'll see I have the underwater thing figured out so that they arn't robbed of their gills, but arn't too OP to be a race either.
As for Polearm specializtion, give that to Pallys, Warriors, and Hunters, and give everything else staff speciallization. and how they wouldn mount is described too, although I can't really be shure how to put it in the best terms possible (the second idea, anyway). And, if I want to, I may just post the beganing quest chain that I have for them (yes, I have that little of a life)

these charts show the viking types descending from the humans, when in fact it's the other way round according to the quests in howling fjord.

I was thinking either Snap Dragons or the Giant Turtles as a mount for Naga

I think we are good in the race departments, we really don't have anywhere to stick their start off area as is right now.
