At level 80, I snuck over to Durotar and tamed a lvl 5 Clatering Scorpid, (very nice colours & detail) which I have just finished leveling to lvl 80. Now I know that 'Scorpid Sting' as of 3.08 does not 'Stack' any more, but, when in battle, my Scorpid is constantly injecting poison at 10 second intervals during the corse of the fight. So, is this not "Stacking" ?. What's the difference ?. He crits at very nice levels, and is a great pve hunting pet as he never gets in the road when shooting, and attacks the target at a blinding speed. Can anyone clarify the 'Stacking' question ?. Cheers.

No, I'm NOT a troll, Wakesports19, I'm an older guy who enjoys playing pve with my hunter & pets. WoW is the only computer game I have ever played, and I have been playing for just over a year now. My father, who is in his mid 80's has been playing several toons since the game began, and my Grand kids will be taking up the challenge soon enough. So, everyone who plays wow & posts to this forum is not always a young wipper snapper, OK. Thanks for the replies.

Post - 3.0.8 patch:
The damage coefficient of the poison DoT has been nerfed severely to bring the damage potential of Scorpids in line with other tenacity pets (such as crabs). The DoT stacks just once, so opponents just have to 'Cure poison' once to get it off. Both the changes have made the scorpid a lot less desirable for pvp and pve.
Wrong. The coefficient has been buffed.
