I'm leveling a frost mage (lvl 78) and I've always loved the frost tree. I plan to try out FFB spec since its the best in-game atm, but my mage doesn't have sufficient crit for that right now (sitting at 18.74% BUFFED (yes i suck)). So, I was looking for a spec that I could use while I gear up and this is what I came up with.

I pretty much took all the essentials in the frost tree, then went to arcane for some utility. Just wanted to hear your guys' feedback. Thanks!
P.S. I also thought about taking points out of Frostbite and Imp. Blizzard for points in Torment of the Weak and 1 point in arcane meditation.

yours looks fine to me
i also got awesome aoe dmg from a 51/0/20 spec + good single target dmg that was great for instances and VoA. I'd usually be near top or top of dps for entire run
the serious raid bosses though need a better single target spec

I very much disagree that FFB is better than 57-3-11.
FFB spec is a very forgiving spec. You'll never have mana issues with it and you will, if played right, sling amazing dps.
I switched from FFB, and when I was FFB I believed right there, it was without a doubt the BEST thing a mage could be.
I switched my glyphs and everything for the new arcane, tinkered around, spec'd how I liked, tinkered more, and fell into a said arc spec.
I stomp, literally STOMP FFB mages in single target boss fights.
For anyone who doesn't think so, I'll be sure to start screen shotting the dps recount displays.
The trick to arcane is juggling the 2 minute evocate/mana gems, and a mana pot on the really long fights.
