Wasn't that much into the PC games before WoW except Warcraft 3 RoC and FT.
Mainly, i played Final Fantasy X and some other RPG's on my PS2, like Baldurs Gate and Champions of Norrath.
I was also playing Tales of Symphonia on my Game Cube, so i have to say played many console RPGs before WoW came out, but WoW was my first MMORPG game.

mostly console games...but i did play Warcraft, Starcraft, and Sims 3 a lot.
never thought i'd ever play a MMO...watched my friend play it (was some other game) and thought it was so boring.
then the ex bought WoW...watched her play and still thought it ws boring...then i ended up trying it one night and got hooked to where i went out the next day and bought Wow and the Burning Crusade expansion for my computer.
Now a days though, i've become a ocassional player.

Star Wars: Galaxies (before they screwed it up with NGE
This.
I miss my Master Doctor/Master Smuggler :(
Besides that, I've been gaming for.. coming up on 20 years.
Started with *ahem* door games on BBS systems; anyone recognize Yankee Trader, TradeWars or Legend of the Red Dragon?
The originator of RTS games, Command & Conquer. Warcraft, 2, 3 + FT, was here WoWing on launch day, got sick of bugs/connection issues at first, left for 3 years (had a family) and now I'm back.
I remember downloading the original shareware version of Doom, then buying the rest. Doom2, Quake, Q2, Q3:A, etc.

FFXI before and a month or two after WoW came out in 2004. Before then, I had been heavy into console RPGs (Final Fantasy anyone?) and 1st person shooters on the PC (UT, Quake II and III, Half-Life, Planetside, etc..)
I certainly don't miss having to find groups to level, I do miss the community from FFXI though. Too many whiners and children in the WoW world. (And when I say children, I mean childish adults as well.)

Diablo II
Loved that game, sadly my account recently got deleted due to 3 months of inactivity.
And all the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games. :)
I'm honestly not that big of a gamer. Have a few games besides WoW that I really like, but besides that, I only play games when a bunch of friends/ band members get together and have nothing to due. Then I'll play some Halo or Grand Theft Auto 4.
WoW is really the only game I've spent an excessive amount of time playing.

I was a huge FPS nut. I was addicted to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and played it up until a friend of mine told me about Dark Age of Camelot. DAoC has been my favorite MMO experience to date, with a PvP experience that's proven hard to replicate in any other game. After it's playerbase dwindled due to lack of content (curse you, Trials of Atlantis!), I picked up WoW a few months after it was released.
