(In response to
Rend
)
Rend may be iffy for fury and prot, but
Taste for Blood
and
Blood Frenzy
are must have abilities for Arms, pve and pvp.
Keep in mind, Rend is not affected by your target's armor.
And if you're going deep into Arms, with
Improved Rend
,
Two-Handed Weapon Specialization
,
Trauma
,
Strength of Arms
,
Wrecking Crew
, it's crazy how much Rend ticks for.
Spec this way, do a few dungeons with Recount running, then go zomg!
Also take any talent that will boost the effectiveness of
Overpower
.

I'm surprised nobody put down
Improved Disciplines
Any tank dumb enough to put valuable pts into that should be shot.
You obviously don't stance dance.
Shield Wall
is no longer on the global cooldown, and this, Retaliation and Recklessness no longer share a cooldown.
Pop Retaliation and go back Defensive Stance, awesomeness.
While tanking, I pop Retaliation and Shield Wall very often, and if I'm an offtank and not needed for a particular encounter, duuude... Block Value set and Recklessness awesomeness.
Being able to do this every 4 minutes is very sweet. Plus tanking can get boring, mix it up a little.
You can shoot me if you want Chillycheesedog, I'll just Shield Wall, it was ready 60secs ago.

(In response to
Safeguard
)
Most people only use
Intervene
when someone actually pulls aggro.
But the ability can be used preemptively to reduce someone's threat.
Now, with Safeguard, the ability becomes amazingly useful.
You can Intervene your other tank, every 30secs, reducing his damage taken by 30% for 6secs.
A lot of encounters involve AE damage or even mobs that don't have a threat table, or mobs that just randomly spam shadow bolts or rapid shots.
And you can Charge right back into your hostile target with
Warbringer
.
This is not only useful for removing movement impairing effects, but it looks crazy when you dart in and out at high speed, especially on my female Gnome Warrior with pink pigtails, my friends on vent go, "WTF was that!"

Reckoning.
End of story.
Reckoning.
Wrong. Like, incredibly so. You'd never take it after 80, but it's very useful in leveling. Get yourself a fast weapon and it procs often enough that you'll see it once every few battles, and since the extra swings from Reckoning can also proc your seals/judgements, you're doing that much more damage and getting that much more healing. Saves you time in battles and reduces healing-related downtime.

Sentry Totem is pretty terrible yeah, but don't forget:
Amplify Curse
- As an actual "Talent" is a joke. Considering most 'locks use either CoA or CoE, at best it saves 0.5 of a second every 24 seconds (not-glyphed).
Track Demons for Warlocks & Hunters (and track Undead for Hunters/Paladins) are petty *yawn* also.
Amplify Curse is free 33% haste applied to your GCD when you cast a curse. Considering how many times you I cast CoA over a long fight, thats a lot of time I saved
not
standing around waiting for the GCD.

? i dont use it its actually used maybe once a month. i mean why not keep your pet out? it used to be that if ya have a low lvl pet in a dungeon it would aggro the mobs but now since its always at least 5 lvls below you its kinda useless and why not leave your pet out to show everyone? if you dont have a pet summoned you kind of look like a noob. i would agree with you guys on soothe animal and mind soothe but this spell is pretty stupid even though it is an option. but it makes your pet sad =(
It's more used for when you want to jump down something and your pet will take the long way, thus pulling all the mobs along with it. It happens more often than you would think in dungeons.

What about Warlocks and their
Firestones
?
Plenty of warlocks using their melee weapons more than anything else.
I see you, and I raise you
Fel Firestone
.
Not useless, not at all.
