1) Garrote and immediately do SnD for 1 Point.
2) Mutilate up to 4 Points and use Envenom
3) Mutilate up to 4 Points and use Rupture
Repeat 2 and down.
Is that correct? If so, my next question would be regarding Pool Energy. Again, if I read correctly that meant to allow my Energy to regen to at least 60 before using a finishing move (Rup/Envenom).
All of this is correct.

Awesome.
Then my next question is, how should I manage my energy efficiently to also couple in refreshing Hunger for Blood in within the rotation, without causing me to lag in my rotation and losing DPS.
Secondly, for whatever reason -- whether its that I'm not critting enough (My crit chance is 25.72%) or something else -- I either end up with 3 or 5 combo points, sometimes 4, but not often enough to follow the rotation 100%. So it seems like I'm far too early for the finisher, or going a little over. So what should I do? Do i spend the extra time during the fight to get to 5 points and use the finishing move then?
Again, thanks for all the help in advance!

What about
? Isn't this important to keep at x3 = +9% increased damage? If so wouldn't that be in the cycle/rotation? Or does doing this decrease your dps? :S

This is what I asked, just before your post. When I tried to keep it in the rotation, my DPS went down. Maybe I just haven't figured out the proper pattern to keep it refreshed and keep the rotation smooth, but I'm not sure, thats why I asked again.

I assumed keeping hunger for blood was considered by default. Of course a flat 9% increase to damage will increase your dps.
EDIT: start up three stacks before the fight. Spending 90 energy mid-fight is a dps loss of course.

Yes, I do that. But what about during the middle of the rotation? Once you have 3 stacks, it only takes one hit of it to refresh it to full, but where in the rotation is the best placement for that to minimze the loss of energy and therein dps?

Just before it runs out, when there's 5 or less seconds on the timer.

All right, I'll give that a shot.
Thanks for the help. The Spreadsheet helped me improve my DPS a ton, and helped me establish a smooth rhythm in heroics and raids.

To add a little bit here,
Refreshing HfB cost 30 energy and should be priority one once HfB drops below 5secs on its timer.
Refreshing slice and dice costs only 35 energy with envenom, and should be done in to refresh SnD and whenever you have 4-5cps and rupture is on the mob still (remember to pool to give time for that rupture to run out though b4 doing two envenoms in a row)
4-5cp ruptures are the next priority and should only be done if HfB has more than 6 seconds on its timer and SnD has been refreshed revently. This is because there is a GCD of 2sec for using rupture and then a 3second wait for 30energy to pool to use HfB.
However, if you drop HfB that must be brought back up to 3 stacks immediately and is 90 energy wasted. DPS goes ouch :(
If you drop SnD that needs to be refreshed soon, and will cost you an unnecessary 25 energy and some extra combo points usually 3-5.
To me dropping HfB is the worst hit to your dps, followed by SnD. Losing rupture is not going to hurt your dps if you are doing it to maintain your HfB and SnD timers.

There is lots of talk about mutilate rogue, But i am a combat rogue, so i was wondering how to change the cycle in the spreadsheet so it does Sinister Strike instead of Mut.
Or does someone want to post a rough cycle for me,
SS
1 cp SnD
SSx5
5 cp SnD
SSx5
5cp Rupture
SSx5
5 cp Evis/Envenom
SSx5
5 cp SnD
Something like that sound good, or tell me how to edit the cycle on the spreadsheet please and ill try figure it out :P
Thanks
At the talent & settings sheet, scroll the screen to the right so you can see the general settings box. You can set the cp-builder here and tinker with the rotation.

I find myself having similar problem as Crusnik described before:
2) Mutilate up to 4 Points and use Envenom <<< i am often forced to envenom at 2 or 3 Points (meaning i can only do 1 mutilate or SnD will drop).
Is this normal for fresh lvl80 muti rogues or am i doing something wrong?

Most likely your crit rating is too low or you are using weapons with slow swings (1.8 vs 1.3).
If your crit is below 30% or your weapon speed is above 1.5 you will not be able to generate enough energy to use the mutilate rotation like it should be.
Mutilate is very gear dependent and is extremely energy starved if the crit chance and weapon speeds are off.
Are you doing something wrong? No. Just go get more gear!
Craftable, normal lvl 80 instances, and the AH are great starters. As well as vault and OS to start getting your teir pieces. Once you have about 1700 dps you will be good for naxx 10. And if you read up on all the fights here at wowhead before hand and don't die you will most likely be invited back.
If all else fails be like me, start your own guild, lead your own raids, and make sure that you are in the instances that give you upgrades.
It is tough for a rouge to get into raids these days, but if you take the time to learn other necessary raiding skills, like explaining boss fights and handling loot, essentially being a raid leader, well you aren't going to forget to invite yourself to your raid now are you?

Once it is opened, do a file>save as.
Then save the new file in a non-read only format and open that one to start plugging in values.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to get my cycle going.
Currently.
Combo Point Builder, SS
Eviscerate > Envenom
Minimum X - 1/60
Minimum Y - 5/60
Minimum Z - 5/60
My rotation Is
Garrote
SnD (1p)
SS
SnD (5p)
SS
Rupture (5p)
SS
Eviscerate (5p)
R.W.R. correct?

Try 4s/5r for a 7/51/13 build, or 4s/5r/3e for a 15/51/5 build.
