In case you didn't know, I've been rather disconnected with the Paladin class for about 10 months. I'm still sort of vague about new paladin itemization/principles. If you are interested in taking over the guide, or at least being a consult, please feel free to send me an e-mail @ ecolifornia gmail.com.
I'd really like to update this guide.

You were right in saying you are going to get a lot of grief for that post. Holy pally's are not the easiest healing class to play. Yes we have it easier with the amount of heals to use, and yes we are more mana efficient than any other healing class, even more now with Divine Plea. We are at a serious disadvantage when it comes to aoe heals, and hot's. Yes the new glyphs work, and make a difference, but a holy pally is not spamming HL which takes away any aoe heal, and the fol glyph will hurt you until you are properly geared for running raids and heroics, as it seriously nerfs your burst healing.
That being said, there are many instances, and raids which make it very interesting/difficult for a holy pally to heal vs any other healing class. Any instance with a great deal of aoe damage, will be tough for a holy pally to heal through, I am not saying you can't do it, but it is much easier for a shaman, priest, or druid.
Holy pallys are still the best single target healers in the game because of the amount of burst healing we do, and now in wrath with such an increase of haste in our gear, but how many instances or raids do you run were you have to heal a single target.
Personally the classes which have it the easiest would be shamans druids, and a tie between priests and pallys. Just my thoughts.
100% agreed, tho i never played the other classes to know how their healing style works other than shammis do party heals only ..as for Avellen, your post is still good and spot on as far as healing technique is concered. Just need a section on how to use beacon of light and Sacred Shield, that and the 3 special ways you can spec for holy. the weakest: Poison Control, then Deffensive healer and Offensive healer, ill create a link to the specs in the next post.

Offensive:

PvP spec is still in development :/ because i cant figure out how if such little mana is in the pvp gear should i put points in divine intellect? and then of course even worse...Holy Guidance.

So really, for a
PvE
holy pally, there are 3 main ways to go (If we are talking about min/maxing)
First:
51/0/20
This spec gets you a ton of extra crit from talents, and do NOT underestimate pursuit of justice. Just like run speed is important for DPS/Tanks, it is also important for us.
Second:
51/5/15
This spec gives you most of the crit in the first spec, but also gives you kings. There should be 1 kings pally in every raid, so make sure you have this if no one else does.
Third:
51/20/0
This was my spec when I first started in Naxx. The shorter cd on BoP, and the potentially awesome effect of Divine Guardian can be really nice. Also we go for this spec to get improved Devo aura, for a raid wide 6% healing increase. Like before, every raid should have an improved devo aura, but prot pallies will have this, so only if your guild does not run one should you consider this spec.
I don't know about your 51/20/0 it seems to me if you are going to go devo aura awesome ness
this
seems more like the build you would want. Or swapping out Aura and Cleanse for Lay on hands like was mentioned.
Edit: speccing for Devo Aura and Conc aura is a waste.

the only prob I have with it is... Conc Aura is the Holy Paly Aura thus should be kept with holy palys since silence is the main thing that can kill the tank rather than big heals which you should either have the haste to heal twice as much in that time or the sp to heavy heal as u so desire... let prot palys who do not need ret aura for aggro use the improved Devo.
Also Infusion of Light... that is sexy to fill up and not half it... ther are alot of times i needed a fast Holy Light even after the first Holy Light, and instant Flash of Lights are just god sent.
