Looking at the survival spec you posted above Leth agree with almost everything you have on there except for maybe point placement in two skills.
When dummy testing at like 33-34% crit i have seen replenishment buff go down with 3 points in Hunting party. Now i do realize this isnt raid buffed and we are going to be looking at excess at of low-mid fortish percent crit if you are doing survival right. Its just I dont want to be a victim of RNG and my raid buff go down.
Also I really dont understand the extra point in Master Tactician instead of putting that last point in Noxious stings. Thats comparing a an extra 2% crit on a 10% proc versus a constant 1% increase in damage, if you are keeping your sting up, which we should be doing anyway.
Everything else is spot on, I am working on some testing for me peronsally and hunting party, as i said RNG can be a !@#$%.

My rotation is this currently, when i was testing it.
Apply sting, steady, shoot explosion when its off CD. When L&L procs I used them both. Reapply sting as needed. Rinse Wash Repeat.
As for the spec, i dont see how that could be a huge difference as i said i am running the exact same thing as you poseted when you tested except i have 3/3 stings, and 3/5 hunting party. Both points of which i moved from master tact. Thats the only difference between your spec and mine, so i doubt honestly the spec has much to do with it at all.
Though for some reason until now i had in my mind master tact only worked off auto shots, so i am glad to be wrong there.
EDITED: Ahh i see what you are saying about Nox. Sting now. But the hunting party thing still has me a bit worried.

Ok here is my armory
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Thunderhorn&n=Cyrric
here is the SV spec im currently Testing out.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cbZ0eVb0hZe00i0cIhxdAbcd
But im thinking that 2 points into rapid fire will be more dps than the points into Improved stings and i just dont see the Point of Noxius Stings. 2% more dmg from serpent is really mute but i just cant find anything to put the 2 points into.

Noxious Stings wouldnt be that good if it was only 3% more damage from from just your stings. Re-read it.
Increases ALL DAMAGE done by you when target is effected by serpent stings. Meaning as long as serpent sting is up going are going to be doing 3% more damage total, not just 3% from serpent sting. Thats why you point some points in it.

Karis, you should use Explosive first, not Serpent. You should also not use two consecutive Explosive Shots during Lock and Load (unless they are on different targets): alternate Explosive and Steady. Your'e wasting Explosive Shot DoT ticks that way. This contributes to the lower uptime of Hunting Party and all your other procs too, by virtue of lowering your average attacks per second.
Another thing contributing is your lack of 5/5 Master Tactician, which you should fix right away. I erred in saying that it was +1.3% crit per point, it's actually closer to +1.13%, but it's still better than Noxious Stings.
You can take 3/5 HP if you want, nothing wrong with that, but 2/5 is usually recommended because in a 25 man raid, it's likely to not be the only source of Replenishment, so its uptime doesn't strictly need to be 100% most of the time, just somewhere close.
I see what you are saying about not poping both explosives off at the same time, makes complete sense. Thanks leth I will be working that in to my rotation. Sorry about all the exact questions about survival, its sort of a new creature to me and I want to be able to nail it down as much as possible for post patch hunter effectiveness.

How is
this
for deep Survival? I put it together quick.
I mainly use this for soloing. Would Beast Mastery be better for that?

Never put 71 points in to one tree it's a
huge
waste. Yes, BM is better for solo play because of it's efficiency.

I dont have that much new info to add here but i gota say that aimed shot isnt a bad investment for a sv spec afterall...
It crits quite often and having 3/3 in sniper training i thought why not take one of the 3 shots that benefits from it. But it also helps my raid dps a littlebit since its one more instant shot for when i gota be on the move during certain bossfights like heigan. Took the point for it from GftT after seeing that my pet rarely (if atall when fully raidbuffed) runs out of focus with my current critrate with just one point in it.
I think i found my ideal
spec
now and i plan to stick with it and see how it does after the patch with the improved explosive shot.
