If he doesnt wants help, do the following:
1. go to wow-europe.com (or the us version).
2. Login on his account (if he doesn't want to tell it you can even put a keylogger on your own pc!).
3. Activate Parental Control.

I have an idea, find a week spot in his "IRL Life" like when he does go out of house, for some birthday or something like that, be friendly with him, and get him drunk little by little, then when he and u are drunk, go 2 some bar and arrange with ur irl buddys 2 be there with some chicks, he will be drunk as ass soo it wouldnt matter 2 him, and he gona have a blast, little by little hes gona get bored of wow, and when next "week spot" in his IRL come, repeat the process above. Hope it helps, since this kinda is ultimate thing :)
P.S. All the ppl that says 2 contact blizz, u need 2 know his Secret Question and Answer and eMail since w/o those 2, u cant do anything, a.k.a. they wont do it for u, since they dont know that it is ur irl brother :P

Yes, great idea -- turn him into an alcoholic. -_-;;
I agree with many of the posters here who suggest, on top of other things, being brutally honest with him. One thing that people with video game addictions have trouble with is connecting with other human beings. It sounds like you really take your role as his brother very seriously.
Well i didnt say 2 turn him in2 alcoholic, just 2 get him few drinks, and he will get drunk, since while u are drunk, connecting with ppl seems and looks much much easyer.

That's how he got into this mess in the first place. Using something as a life crutch -- i.e. alcohol, video games, sex, cigarettes -- is no substitute for facing the problem (like depression, which he's likely facing) head on. I'm not saying your suggestion to loosen him up is a stupid one, but doing it in the way you described would be totally detrimental.
People who face depression with video games often become video-game addicts.
People who face depression with alcohol often become alcoholics.
But understanding that takes a foresight you probably don't understand, so I'll save it.
Well u gota die from something rite ? Anyhow i find getting drunk and getting laid far more interesting then bashing 4 buttons on keyboard :P Srsly i would chose the first one :)

Just to answer some things I've seen asked:
Prinne - Yes, I believe he is suffering from depression. I'm no doctor, but I believe it anyhow.
Nebdkadnezr - I live across town from him, and I have responsibilities at my own home. I wish I could take a couple hours and spend with him daily, but I simply can't.
Hospy - He pays the Internet bill and it's in his name. Can't downgrade the connection.
Dazzatron - Mom makes 3 meals a day. He chooses to remain on his butt in front of the computer rather than eat. He is probably 5'11'' 130lbs. I'm 6'0'' 240.
PTsICU - He has tried to find a job. His English skills suck and no one
wants
to hire a hearing-impaired person.
SmashnCrash - Interesting take, but I think his English skills would keep Blizz from employing him in such a capacity.
Arch4non - I tried the parental controls. I need the answer to his secret question. He's not forthcoming with it.
ZerXonE - He got screwed in school because he got Bs and Cs, but he deserved Fs. The school did not want to admit that they didn't have the ability to teach him. Also, he just quit contacting friends. He had "better" things to do I guess. You put a very professional spin on it, and I appreciate it.

you can log onto his account at worldofwarcraft.com, then go to parental controls and it lets you select exactly when he can and cannot play
Only if I know the answer to his secret question, which I do not. Thanks though.

Heres my thoughts, take him down the gym make him feel more confident about himself. Introduce him to some girls, doesn't have to be in the form of trying to instigate a relationship, but have them meet up regularly i know for a fact that men act differently when in regular contact with girls, they take a lot more interest in self hygiene and looks.
If all else fails get him down to your local recruiting office, a 6 month tour in Afghan/Iraq will give him a kick up the backside.
good luck, hope you sort it out
ps: the above was a joke..

I wouldn't say he's willing to find a job, as it would interfere with WoW.
I think I've decided to get a remote desktop invite from my mom and access their router. I'll block WoW traffic on a schedule that is more like what we believe he should be playing.
