Straight attack power i would say.
Hell straight up agility wouldnt be that bad either.
Just dont gem agi&resi or ap&resi, you should get around 1k resi from gear only.

goshadstep2lose
depends on your spec
envenomprep go straight ap
shadowdance go straight agi

Is that a trick question?
(You linked the same build twice)
Also pooling energy isnt required for combat.
I only pool energy when i'm going to refresh snd and dont want to do it as soon as possible.
This means still benefit from the remaining duration of snd, thus pooling some energy before refreshing.
For example if i have 4 seconds left on SnD, than i wait untill its 0 or 1 seconds left before refreshing.
Edit:
However dont let it drop off, dropping snd for 1 second is the same as refreshing it with 6 seconds left.
So if you think you are going to drop it, jesus just refresh it asap.

Rupture is only worth using on tank and spank fights, so if you were to pick one build to last a whole ICC run, you would choose an Evis build.

The following is all
PvP
based...
I've been over to WowPopular.com and it seems the most popular Subtlety PvP build at the moment is 5/0/31 -
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#fbhZZfhfbdu0RGo
I've got some questions though:
- Do we now have to keep SnD AND Rupture up at all times, or is it not needed? I only ask because SnD for obvious reasons, and Rupture due to 'Sanguinary Vein'.
- Due to Sanguinary Vein requiring a bleed effect on the target, I figured THAT was the reason Rupture based talents were included in the build (and others I've seen) & also Serrated Blades, which helps to keep Rupture up constantly. I had an idea though... Wouldn't it be better to just use 'Glyph of Hemorrhage' which causes your Hemorrhage ability to add a bleed effect to the target anyway? This would negate the need for Rupture to be used AT ALL, thus also freeing 2 points from Serrated Blades for you to use somewhere else.
It's just confusing having to keep Rupture up constantly along with SnD. Now we've gotta keep Rupture up at all times & SnD up at all times... This hardly gives any chance to use Eviscerate, or ANY finisher for that matter as you're constantly spending your combo points on trying to keep Rupture & SnD up.
I just figured with removing the need to keep Rupture up (for Sanguinary Vein) & replacing it with Glyph of Hemorrhage, it might make it a little bit easier to use, but I'm not sure what you guys think.
- Finally, I've been playing WoW for 3 years & have never played Subtlety before, but I've heard it's pretty much THE spec to be playing in PvP right now. Is this right & is Assassination PvP sub-par now? I was always 44/2/25 spec before this patch, but now hearing people talk about Subtlety constantly has made me feel I need to change to Subtlety. The only problem is, I'm finding it EXTREMELY hard to get used to. I don't know the opners, I don't know the correct finishers, I'm constantly wondering whether to Shadowstep+Ambush or whether to just Cheat Shot/Garrote as usual, for an opener etc etc. To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to Subtlety in PvP.
Any help you guys could give me would be VERY much appreciated!
Thank you.

im unfamiliar with "wowpopular" so I had doubts about the trustworthiness of the sight, and seeing that spec confirmed my suspicions
no cheat death
no elusiveness
no energetive recovery
fckin deadly momentum
2/10
I've got some questions though:
Do we now have to keep SnD AND Rupture up at all times, or is it not needed? I only ask because SnD for obvious reasons, and Rupture due to 'Sanguinary Vein'. no, you need to keep recuperate up at all times, rupture remains an ability reserved for plate (if anything) and SnD takes a back seat to other finishers, only used in place of evis in the scenario that certain CC and survivability CDs have been burnt ensuring that the combo points aren't wasted
Due to Sanguinary Vein requiring a bleed effect on the target, I figured THAT was the reason Rupture based talents were included in the build (and others I've seen) hemo glyph, get it
also Serrated Blades, which helps to keep Rupture up constantly. PvE talent, its an even more unreliable CttC (in that the refreshed ability is on yuor target instead of you) that isn't worth the two points in an already bloated sub tree
I had an idea though... Wouldn't it be better to just use 'Glyph of Hemorrhage' which causes your Hemorrhage ability to add a bleed effect to the target anyway? This would negate the need for Rupture to be used AT ALL, thus also freeing 2 points from Serrated Blades for you to use somewhere else. good enough reason as any
but I've heard it's pretty much THE spec to be playing in PvP right now. 4.0 hasn't even been out a week, no one knows what "the" spec for anything is right now
but due to the death of envenomprep and any other variont of <notsub>prep sub may very well have a roll reversal with assassination, I don't really see either of the trees being comparable with sub without any major buffs and prep becoming baseline
Is this right & is Assassination PvP sub-par now? I was always 44/2/25 spec before this patch, but now hearing people talk about Subtlety constantly has made me feel I need to change to Subtlety. Most likely to change on 85.

Appreciate it, thank you very much indeed. Although, now I'm basically left without a PvP build until something more tested comes about. Would you say it's safe to basically make my own PvP build right now until something else comes out?
Also, how come Assassination PvP is dead? I can't understand why, although I'm probably missing an important reason.
Thanks again.

I keep hearing people claiming that Assassination PvP is dead, and Subtlety is MUCH better etc. I even heard a couple of people saying that whoever plays Assassination in PvP now is just asking to be killed, but I don't understand why.
I've always loved being Assassination spec in PvP (I was 44/2/25 before the patch) and was hoping to continue as it in this Patch & Cataclysm, as I've never really liked the playstyle of Subtlety. I know Subtlety is great now (so I've heard) but it's just personal preference that I prefer Assassination.
So what is the case with Assassination now? Is it pretty much useless now? If so, why exactly?
Thanks.

Another question:
I've sorted out my PvE gear near enough perfectly with reforging, but now I'm wondering about reforging my PvP gear. Over at ElitistJerks, the value of each stat (For Assassination) is as follows:
Spell Hit : 3.1
Agi: 2.8
Expertise: 2.6
Haste: 2.2
Mastery: 1.7
White Hit: 1.7
Crit: 1.4
Is this pretty much the same for PvP or not? I'd like to reforge my PvP gear, but I don't know which stat to reduce & which to increase on my gear pieces.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot.

I think goshadstep2lose spoke to gravely about assassination.
There is no season atm, so the only thing you can do is either duel/bgs.
Currently i've only been able to test assassination and i have to say that while i do lack certain abilities, assassination currently still can be used as a bg/duel specc.
However if things stay the way they are, then i'll be forced to go sub in the new season.
It would be stupid to miss on a prep (with smokebomb refresh!) and all its other tricks.
Also currently sub is bugged, so as i said before goshadstep2lose just spoke a bit too early/gravely.
Just my opinion.

Crit into haste is an option.

Quick question. currently i play a rogue ( darkestflame on earthen ring ) and after being away for a bit over a year i begin to question how i am supposed to gear up. Currently i can barely do anything is this because i am terrible rogue or undergeared? also whats a quick way to get some decent gear. I try to pvp for it but it has a 20min queue time on my server also the lack of skill /gear makes it hard.
and 5 mans take 10 min.......
