I choose a druid for tree form. Then they turned it into a cooldown so I deleted my druid.

Well i choose my druid, mainly because it was the only class that i hadn't gotten anywhere with.
And being slightly bugged about not having tried it completely, i decided to level 1.
At the time my highest druid was kitty, ~56, and tauren, so i remade him into a her, made it a worgen, and went Boomkin. Some time later, my druid is Resto/Boomkin, but i never go dps, i just pop some hots, and /dance. =P
Druids do excel at certain aspects of the game, and if the play style of hot-hot-hot-hots-R-Us is for you, then you WILL enjoy it. In massive waves. =D

I picked Druid because on the creation screen they sounded better than anything else, it was my first WoW character.
I was resto and melee'd things to death, partly because I had no idea what I was doing and partly this was waaaay before Spell Damage and Spell Healing were merged into POWAH. I remember the first time I saw someone in travel form and I was like "Holy ^&*! I get to do that?"
Resto until Wrath when I DS Chicken, now I'm mainly finger-licken-crit-chickenin'. As a feral, well...I'd still probably do more damage being resto and smacking things with a mace >.>

When I first started playing, many moons ago, I remember watching the opening cinematic and seeing one of the characters transform into a panther and thought "Wow, I want to play one of whatever that was". I knew very, very little about the game and nothing of the lore so I had no clue at first that, that was a druid.
I then came to find out that the panther was Alliance and my friends were all horde. I looked up what horde druids got to transform into and was not happy with the appearance of the horde lion so I ended up starting a paladin as my very first toon.
The pally made it to level 20 before I got bored and switched to warlock. That one made it to level 8.
Finally I made a druid.....and I haven't looked back since. Then and now, druid is the only class that I have never gotten bored with after a period of time. I came to terms with the lion appearance as a kitty and ended up liking it (especially since I went boomkin at level 70 and have never played kitty since).
I have since learned the lore behind the druids so at least now I know more about what I have been playing all these years.
I am a raging altaholic but druids will always be my number 1!

I think i choosed druid because i liked to heal people... and the way of quickly transforming into warrior, rogue or healing... But mostly because i like the nature and the lore through the druids... i was so in love in Malfurion Stormrage WC3 :)

I started a druid because i loved the spell Wild Growth, it wasn't my first class but yeah, i got my first class to 60 then i leveled my druid to 60 and so on.
Right now i dont like wild growth just because blizz nerfed it, but its still good for me, now what i love is
Maw of the Dragonlord

I'm still on the Starter Edition, so I tried a few different classes. Rogue, Priest, Mage and it seems like the Druid is all those rolled into one. So when I'm tired of casing from a far I just switch to the Cat and claw the heck out of the bad guys. Fun stuff!

I rolled Druid mainly because shifting around between forms, doing lots of different things and being a good all rounder sounded absolutely awesome (it was also partly because me and my freinds decided to all play tauren and druid was the only class no one else wanted :p ).
Of course this was way back in Vanilla and when I picked druid I had no idea how 'bad' they were... still had loads of fun though and although I barely play my druid anymore I have some great memories there.

"Solo God," lol!
Druid was my first character at release. Got him to level 14, and although I loved him, I started other characters and lost him in the crowd. I left the game for a few months.
Eventually, I came back to the game and started fresh on a brand new account. Made another druid, got him to 80, and then gave the account away to my ex-co-worker.
Came back to the game -- again -- for Cata. Although I was never a big fan of Night Elves, the thought of playing a Worgen appealed to me. Releveling one -- again -- did not.
Then came the Scroll of Resurection promotion! Got my old old level 14 Druid back at level 80 and race changed him! I am a happy gamer again. I absolutely love this character, even more so that I am technically playing the first character I ever made after release.
Bear 4 life.
