So far I've run:
Heroic Halls of Stone - Completed No Wipes
Heroic Violet Hold - Completed No Wipes
Heroic Halls of Lightning
.... We wiped like 7 times on Loken, then killed him and got the achievement for killing him in under 2 min. Boomkin had to offheal for it to happen. Was told I sucked, even though the first 2 wipes were because they got one-shotted by staying RANGED in that fight. (They said they knew the fight lol).
Reason is because BoL runs out at extremely bad times and so Much AOE damage is being done.
Your Major concerns are Loken and the Poison AOE boss in Gundrak. =/
Be prepared and bring Mana Pots for those long fights.

I'm finding I can heal through all of the aoe damage just fine by healing the party with Beacon of Light up, always keeping Sacred Shield on the tank and always having Judgments of the Pure up.
I've been able to successfully heal every heroic, but the loken fight is always going to be a pain for everyone... You just have to come up with a strat that has everyone moving together in one direction so Loken comes straight to you after the aoe he does. The only boss fight I've not been able to complete is the last boss in Oculus. Haven't been able to find a strat that works yet, but i'm hopeful that once we figure out a way, it'll be easy sauce.
Steps to my healing:
1. Beacon on tank.
2.Sacred Shield on tank
3. Judge the mob/boss
4. Heal the parties aoe damage, but keep priority on the tank... if he takes some spike damage, flash of light and holy shock him.
5. Rinse and repeat, remember... Sacred Shield is on a 30 second timer, Beacon is on a 1 minute timer.

Uh....
Ok, couple things. We have a mid range heal. Holy shock heals for much more than FoL, and also possibly crits for an instant flash.
Beacon isn't unreliable. Beacon is actually very reliable in heroics. So much so, I always have it on the tank, and I am hardly every healing the tank directly in the majority of heroic fights.
JoL and SS are our HoT's. That's all we get. Hopefully you have a feral druid too for some LotP action.
If I, at 1270 sp, can heal HoL, and you have to HL spam and sit in the aoe, you may be doing something wrong, or maybe your dps wasn't as good as mine was. =) Just a quick fact on my technique- I rarely use HL. Even less likely do I spam it. It does happen, but targets have to be below 30% for me to start HL spamming. Maybe it's me conserving my tiny 13k mana pool, but FoL spamming has been good to me for most cases. If the tank is gradually dropping, I toss in a HS and back to FoL. If he's getting below 75-60% and is still going down , HL.
Just in case you didn't understand that, I am FoL spamming the party in order to heal the tank. That is Beacon's CONSISTANCY for heroic healing.
I'm going to say it again.
Beacon of Light is MANDATORY for heroic healing!
See it? Turn your MP3's down and game volume up. I hear beacon procs. I never, ever heal more than 2 heals without Beacon on the tank. EVER. I also holy shock when more than 1 target needs healing. If it's just an off heal, holy shock quick, back to tank. I use holy shock as my midrange heal.
I don't know what you guys are smoking, but I want your gear. How you are at 2k SP with 16-17k mana on random quest drops and leftover 70 gear, I will never know. I saw a T6/SWP geared holy pally with a smaller mana pool. I think my chest piece is the only thing really holding back my set. Other than lack of gems and enchants of course, and a need for the nexus mace to drop(spirit mace FTL) and the AN shield. That, a chest, and full gems/enchants/patches, my gear will probably be around 1500-1600 sp.
But, I'm still at 1270 for now.
A tecnique tip for those who are really struggling. Every pull, I SS, beacon on tank, and drink while he's pulling. Also, don't be lazy. Heal everyone and every thing. I heal pets to keep them up and run beacon procs to the tank if no one is in dire need of heals. FoL spam everything and HS when you need something a bit bigger to top someone off. Top everyone off. If there is a health bar not at 100%, you should be casting. You can't afford it.
I've ran into prissy healers that don't heal the party, and expect them to bandage/heal/eat for themselves between pulls. I've seen this in a RESTO DRUID! WTH..... Click, problem solved. It's not like you don't have 1k spirit, and 600 mp5 or more in combat. I would rather be drinking when the tank is chain pulling the next mobs, than have a dps at 50% hp and die because the healer is lazy.
You are the healer. Top everyone and everything off at all times!
If you forsee a problem with this, tell them to help with bandages and self heals.
Helpful tip for HoL and old kingdom where it seems the aoe is horrible. Bring an enh sham or ret pally, or both. Make sure they know their class and how to use their instant/quick heal procs. This is a MAJOR help in healing aoe damage in heroics. Generally, when I run as ret in heroics, my dps drops to 1400. Why? I can do 1800-2k dps. Why would I do a thing like that? Wipe prevention. Plain and simple. Learn to love these classes. Their off heals are AMAZING!

Well, on that fight, do it on normal a few times. The cast is visually very easy to see. On top of using mouseover macros so I can keep the boss targeted, if you see him start casting, you move. Period, no one should take damage during this time period. If they do, they didn't move fast enough. Again, when I do this fight, I use left click to turn my screen direction around, or you can even turn your toon around as you aren't attacking the boss. This allows for one button movement, and the boss pretty much fills your screen, making giant lightning bolts on the sides of your screen when he starts casting his aoe. If everyone does this, and you get out of range fast enough, you can toss some heals around, and with beacon on the tank, it tops the tank off too. With everyone on the tank, Loken's ONLY issue is his aoe attack. The boss is very possible, IF everyone stacks in one solid location. As for my preference, being the healer, I suggest everyone stacks on the healer during nova. This way you can use the running time the boss needs to catch your group to catch up on heals, and you won't be out of position.
For the record, that means tank moves a bit forward(after the aoe goes off, and only a few yards) so the boss doesn't stand on top of the group, and then backs up to stack with the group. Less run distance to get out of aoe means a safer fight.
Also, if you are running for position, it's quite simple if you aren't running across the room.... Use your GCD on Shock and SS if it's not up. You can't tell me casting FoL with instant shock, and a 1.2 or whatever second gcd, maybe add a second for a bit more position distance, is going to kill your tank. If it is, he's a bit too squishy for the instance, or you aren't keeping up on your heals.
I've noticed, that when poisons or DoT's go up on party members, there is usually a "lul" in the amount of damage the tank takes. These abilities mess with mob swing timers same as our swing timers are affected by healing and cleansing. Use it. Keep up on your heals, and cleanse that crap ASAP! Sometimes I even use it to keep the tank up with beacon, and leave on on a melee that's a bit low, effectively spamming the tank a bit longer eventhough he's not full and feeling like I'm not just spamming for nor reason. I always feel silly stop casting FoL or spamming on a full tank.

Update-
I'm up to 1470 spell power with only glove and weapon enchant.... >.<
I got into a H naxx guild, and we are trying to do a full clear this week(to be 3rd on realm), and we are half way thru. Most of the fights seem to be a joke. I hope we do patchwerk tonight so I will have something to heal....
We still do a ton of heroics after raid. I haven't got more than 4 hours of sleep all week.... LOL!
H UP- PAIN IN THE AZZ! I don't know if its cause we seem to always have one really fail person in the group, but without a pot and liberal divine plea spam, my 16k mana can't maintain thru the harpoon boss. Get your tank and interupt on the caster mobs asap! they do 4300 every 2 seconds. It's a royal pain to heal thru.
H UK- it's pretty much a joke as long as you watch for interupts on the final. Usually when he casts something, I switch to a holy shock and check buffs. It does me well now. Expect everyone to have a disease on them. It's annoying, but cleanse spamming makes you get behind on the healing. Don't cleanse the disease off the tank, only the dps.
So far, we've done arachnid and plague wings. Arachnid wing I had some actual healing to do. Plague wing, I was the cleanse machine because that seemed to be the only real damage going around and everyone else was enjoying spamming aoe heals(6k CoH per target is just unfair)....

For sure, it's way more challenging to heal now in WotLK heroics. There's a lot to keep track of now.
